DENVER (AP) For the first time, President Barack Obama is inching into one of the highly competitive races that could determine whether Democrats maintain control of the Senate this fall. Obamas trip to Colorado to raise money for Sen. Mark Udall underscores the political risks for vulnerable Democrats of being linked with the increasingly unpopular president.
Obama will headline a high-dollar fundraiser for Udall in Denver on Wednesday but the event is off-limits to news cameras. Udalls office also says the senator will not attend an economic speech the president plans to deliver in Denver, ensuring that there will be no photos of the two men together.
Republicans quickly pounced on Udalls plans, eager to link the incumbent to a president with sagging approval ratings, both nationally and in Colorado.
Sen. Udalls message to the president is clear: Help me rake in campaign cash behind closed doors, keep the media from capturing photos of us together, and avoid real Coloradans at all costs, said Alex Siciliano, a spokesman for Rep. Cory Gardner, Udalls opponent in the November election.
Meanwhile, Republicans in Colorado have made tying Udall to Obama a core part of their strategy. And a glimpse at the presidents poll numbers in the state make clear why. A recent Quinnipiac University Poll put Obamas approval rating in Colorado at a measly 38 percent.

BHO2 has a 72% positive poll rating - with Muslims!
Raise money for me but do it invisibly. What a disgusting cast of characters.
And when Obama was in Denver, Udall was ‘conveniently’ out of town. LoL.
Snooker is the game.
Just a coincidence the koranimals believe in their 72 virgins?
The game I grew up on. Near as I can tell, two things are found within 50 miles of either side of U.S. Hwy 81...and nowhere else on the globe.
Snooker tables and "red beer".
I used to hang out at the 10-9 Club here in Fresno. Pool, red beer and country music.
It’s always been about duping enough people with this crowd
My milieu was along U.S. Hwy 81, from Fort Worth, TX to Wichita, KS. Grew up on snooker, red beer and country music.
Proving, I suppose, that the San Joaquin and the Chisholm Trail are pretty much the same place. And both largely populated by Okies...

Cory Gardner needs to play up this little factoid. Udall will let the Prez raise money for him, but won’t be seen with him in public.
With any luck all the libs in Colorado will be too stoned the day of the election to bother to vote.
Now there’s a thought! Has the clueless moron Udall had anything to say about the horde crossing the border?
Yep, dope may have a silver lining. ;-)
