Following a Supreme Court ruling last year that effectively silenced the voice of California voters hoping to protect the institution of traditional marriage, Gov. Jerry Brown is taking steps to enshrine his state’s new ‘right’ to recognize same-sex unions.
Despite the fact that a majority of Californians voted – in 2000 and 2008 – to limit the definition of marriage to a bond between one man and one woman, state and federal judges overturned the people’s expressed wishes to enforce a social agenda. Brown announced this week that, in response to this win for the homosexual lobby, the terms ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ will no longer be included in California’s marriage law.
Four million years of evolution, undone with the stroke of a pen.
It’s beyond belief that the crazed geezer did this.

Voting is much like the voting on a small town scale. The school tax vote in your town comes up and all flock in numbers to vote, It didnt go thier way so they vote again, still not in thier favor so they vote again and again and again until the crowd withers down to a few and the rest are worn out or out working for a living when the vote is scheduled for 2 in the afternoon and vwalla! the vote is passed and your taxes go up. I imagine that the Education Tzars are now busy compiling a lengthening list of forbidden words that will be taught to the pupils in American’s Public Schools. I think, maybe a subject to be taught beginning in the third grade.
Thousands of new “teachers” will be hired to explain why the words, “bride, groom, masculine, feminime, religion, freedom, life, valedictorian, winner, best, and a dozen thousand others will be classified and “hate speech”.
Any word or expression that can be felt by a single person as “giving offense” will be included.
In time, a predatory MALE who tells a helpless FEMALE that, “You look Very nice today” will be liable to a 90 day prison sentence.

Lets just tell the truth, There is no marriage under California law anymore. Just contracts.
It’s odd that conservatives are losing the battle over marriage, but are gaining the upper hand on human life issues.

I am just waiting for some county clerk somewhere to announce that he will begin issuing marriage licences for group marriage and human-animal, and mother-son marriages. After all, if love is all that matters.....
I would say we'll see at least two of the three within one generation. And any remaining Christians will be required to bake cakes for the happy events.
It is up to the Catholic church, the Orthodox churches, and conservative Protestant churches to reach an agreement to only recognize traditional marriages conducted by them.
The most important part of this is that they all agree to reject the idea that there are any other legitimate forms of marriage. All other couplings are “fornication”, by the definition of the word.
“Voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other. Or extramarital sex that willfully and maliciously interferes with marriage relations.”
In practical terms, this means that as a minimum, all of these churches would only recognize religious marriage that any of them had conducted; even to the point of asking their congregants to not recognize other marriages, at least within the grounds of the church.
