The former Georgetown University law student who gained national attention for being denied a chance to testify in Congress for health plan contraception coverage—and then was subjected to degrading comments by radio host Rush Limbaugh—is hoping to make public policy of her own.

Sandra Fluke is running as a first-time candidate for a seat in California’s state Senate to represent some of the most affluent communities of Los Angeles County, a district that stretches from the Hollywood Hills to the Palos Verdes peninsula.

In a district where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1, Fluke is campaigning on an agenda that includes subsidized early education, greater environmental protection, expanded public transit and public matching funds for political campaigns, not to mention her advocacy of women’s rights. …

It’s good to see that a rich white woman from a privileged background can get anything she wants in America.

The system still works. :)

...former Georgetown University law student...

Does that mean she never finished law school and went on to become a professional political prostitute?

“Does that mean she never finished law school and went on to become a professional political prostitute?”

That’s how Dumocraps normally start their political careers..

Free condoms for Jed Clampett and all the rest of the Beverly Hills Hillbillies?

By all means!
Poor working people across America are just waiting for the opportunity to buy rubbers for the hedonistic multi-zillionaires of Bel Air so that they may enjoy their big sexy orgies better.

Fluke is well-named.

The truth is only degrading to the slut in question! When Ms Fluke bemoaned her lack of access to free contraception, she basically was implicitly admitting that she was sexually active outside of marriage. No one is saying she could abstain, that is obviously beyond her willpower.

“”Fluke is well-named.””

Does anyone know her parent’s name??

I suspect that this is her “stage” name.

The level of sexual activity relative to the cost of contraception she claimed she needed in her testimony would entail her having sex all day and all night, though, with no time for eating food or going to the bathroom. Quite a few news reporters pointed that out.

Yup. And as they are saying on Facebook lately, nothing says Strong Feminist like whining that if you can’t get free birth control, you are powerless to control your fate.

The U.S. is more in debt than any other nation-state in human history, our role overseas is alienating our allies and coddling our enemies, job participation is at an almost historic low, and there is an existential crisis about what it means to be an American. In the face of all this, Sandra Fluke thinks the most important issue facing the people is free birth control devices. If she wins this election, it speaks poorly of not only those who voted for her, but the entire state of California.

From her first appearance in the news, it was apparent that she was only looking for political exposure.

Contraception was only the meme she chose for her debut.

She could have easily chosen any of dozens of progressive causes, they are all interchangeable to the left.

That is the major difference between left and right...a school of minnows moving as one vs a herd of excited cats.

This definition always comes to mind when I hear Sandra Fluke's name:

1. (Animals) any parasitic flatworm, such as the blood fluke and liver fluke, of the classes Monogenea and Digenea (formerly united in a single class Trematoda)

She's just another political parasite.
