Moscow protests shooting at Russian border guards from Ukrainian side

Moscow strongly condemns Kiev forces shooting at Russian border guards and demands that such actions cease. Otherwise, Russia reserves the right to protect its territory and citizens, the Foreign Ministry has said.

At around 3 am on Saturday, a vehicle with a squad of Russian border guards, on duty at the frontier between Russia and Ukraine, came under fire from the Ukrainian side, the Russian Ministry said in a statement.

As a result of the incident in the Kuibyshev district of the Rostov region, the vehicle sustained damage: eight bullet holes were found in the vehicle’s chassis.

“Only by good fortune were none of the Russian border-guards injured,” the Foreign Ministry statement reads.

Moscow says it has evidence that the shooting came from Ukrainian territory and a position on Russian soil, which was prepared in advance after attackers from Ukraine penetrated the country.

Russia is demanding that Ukraine stops shooting at its territory and committing violations of its border, according to the statement released on Saturday.

In case of future provocations, the ministry said, “Russia reserves the right to take all measures provided by the Russian Federation’s law to protect its territory and provide for the safety of its citizens.”

Three Russian frontier guards came under fire during the incident on Saturday, Vasiliy Malayev, a spokesperson for Rostov region’s Federal Security Service’s told Itar-Tass earlier. He said the Russian soldiers fired back, following which the shooting ended.

IMO, a Kiev ambush for border-crossers caught a Russian Border Patrol, instead.

There have been several incidents on the border in the last week.

Ukraine Pravda article:

Russian troops plunged into the territory of Ukraine, ambushed - NSDC

“Russian troops plunged three kilometers into the territory of Ukraine in Luhansk and built there an ambush.

Said a spokesman for the National Security Council Andrei Lysenko, tells Channel 5.

In NSDC suspect that aggressors thus tried to create a corridor to hold equipment and mercenaries into the territory of Ukraine.”

That is all the article says about it, then goes on to quote Lysenko about a fight in Marinka.

Ukrainians are going to keep killing Russkies and they are not going to stop. This war will come to Russia soon, and Putin will have to flee the angry mobs just like his comrade Yanukovich.

". . . Ukraine's National Guard, Major General Serhiy Kulchytskiy, was among the fatalities"

A General was on one of the other helicopters shot down as well which means either the only people riding in helicopters are sure to be high ranking officers or the seperatists have some very, very, good intelligence sources within the ranks of the UNG.

“or the seperatists have some very, very, good intelligence sources within the ranks of the UNG.”

All of the sackings of High-ranking Officers by Kiev in the last ten days is a pretty good indication of that.

And, Kiev has consistently underestimated, and talked down the strength of the rebellion, all along.

~And, Kiev has consistently underestimated, and talked down the strength of the rebellion, all along.~

With indiscriminate shelling of population areas including large cities by the government forces the so-called RT propaganda on fascist junta entrenched in Kiev is so real to the locals so insurgency would only grow.
