Governors livid over border crisis
Politico ^ | July 11, 2014 | Kyle Cheney

The surge of Latin American children trying to cross the U.S. border threatens to strain states’ resources and is testing their already fragile relationship with Washington, governors from both parties warned Friday.

As they gathered here for a meeting of the National Governors Association, the state leaders seethed at what they said was a lack of support and information from the federal government.

The border crisis was on the tip of nearly every governor’s tongue in the early part of their meeting here, yet the group passed on the chance to grill Vice President Joe Biden on the subject when he appeared before them Friday.

This crisis is clearly Obama's doing -- precipitating a crisis, overwhelm the system, to force "immigration reform" on his terms, i.e. legalize all illegal TRESSPASSERS ( NOT "immigrants") without conditions -- more actions aimed at the destruction of the USA.

Yeah, I bet they’re really pounding their fists! Successive generations of governors have prostituted themselves to the federal government with little to no resistance as power was stripped from them... now they complain. Well, I wish they got this angry over same sex marriage being forced against the express will of the people, or abortion being forced against the express will of the people, or natural resource exploitation being banned against the express will of the people.

Starting to feel this entire thing is a shell game. Faux outrage abounds.

They are LIVID! Furious! Irate! Boiling over! About to have a coronary! Mad as hell! Aggravated extremely! Incensed! Fuming! Riled to the max! Exasperated! Pushed too far! Just fuming!

But are they going to do anything about it...?

Stay tuned.

This is exactly what's happening.

I wonder what would happen if we did what I have seen in refugee situations in other parts of the world.
Refugees are kept in barren areas, living in tent cities with fences to keep them from going into the populated areas. They are given water and staples to feed themselves while the situation in their country is resolved. They don't get any further than the tent cities.

This would be a stark example of the Obama's folly.

Wait til the governors find out what's starting to happen in their schools.

RAMIFICATIONS OF BORDER INVASION KICK IN
NRO reports adult illegals posing as "unaccompanied alien children" are attempting to enroll at Massachusetts public high schools. Some of them had gray hair, said they were 17 years old, and claim to have have no documentation.

Gray haired men enrolling in schools?

Looks like drug lords from across the border are infiltrating public schools---planning to set up lifelong lucrative businesses ......giving kids free samples to get them addicted is part of building up the business plan.

The graying men posing as teens could also be sex traffickers ---lining up nubile kid for their johns..... and the young 'uns for pedophiles who pay big bucks to get ahold of the little darlings.

Tolerant and compassionate libbers whining about the "humanitarian crisis" are OK with that (/snix).

==============================================

Governors are also in for a budget shock when their carefully drawn budgets are looted by the "little children."

Hugo Chavez taught Boobamba a neat trick---if you don't have the votes to win---you import them from destitute countries. If you promise them billions in remittances they'll gladly empty out their villages.

INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY---Central America Border Rush Fueled By Remittances
(extortion racket---US taxpayers to prop up corrupt govts)

......52,000 unaccompanied illegals crossed the south Texas border this year.....as the political debate focused on immigration enforcement, a key economic factor has been lost in the clamor. Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, which are supplying three-quarters of the latest cross-border flood, and are dependent on their diaspora in the US to prop up their own woeful economies.

Immigrants send back billions of dollars to their families. Remittances have risen to 16.5% of El Salvador's GDP, 15.7% of Honduras' and 10% of Guatemala's, according to World Bank data. Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Bolivia rely on remittances for 4.1% to 9.7% of GDP.

But the figure drops precipitously for every other country in Latin America. Mexico, with the largest immigrant population in the U.S. with as many as 13 million people, now relies on remittances for just 2% of GDP.

Migrant remittances to Mexico were $22 billion in 2013, 29% below their 2006 peak. For Colombia, once a locus of drug-war violence, that has turned itself around, remittances are only 1.1% of GDP. Free-market star Chile's figure is 0%.

It's not surprising to see Central American leaders urging the U.S. to let the newest arrivals stay. Those migrants' remittances offer a lifeline to desperately poor countries. While the money goes to families, it helps the broader economy......and ultimately fills government coffers.

A 2008 Pew Research Center survey found that 54% of foreign-born Hispanics send remittances to their home countries, compared to 17% of U.S.-born Hispanics. Undocumented immigrants are believed to send more cash home than either.

Virtually all the cash received by the three remittance outliers is from the U.S. (Guatemala 89%, El Salvador 90%, Honduras 87%).

We need a bunch of Crocketts. This country is in serious trouble. We’re being invaded. We’re weak militarily. We have more debt than we can ever pay off. We have a muslim, (our arch enemies) in the white house. And half the people in this country still love him because they’re so damned stupid.

What I don’t understand is why the so called patriotic political leaders don’t attempt to do something. Apparently there are none who are patriots.

The only hope for this country is a military coup and that won’t happen since everyone has sat on their asses and allowed Obama to purge the military leaders and put his own people in. Every dictator in history did the same thing yet not enough people saw it happening here.

The other option is for some states to start seceding. There’s no doubt in my mind the majority of people in Texas would support it. If Texas goes, lots of states will follow.

These are extreme solutions. But we are in bad a situation.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, said Congress and the Obama administration need time to develop a “plan of action for the country.”

Of course Chickenpooper abdicates all responsibility as chief executive of CO. He needs all of the new Dem voters he can get to stay in office this Nov.

If three or four of those border governors called the National Guard up at the same time, it would've been tough for Obama to bring the move down. Martinez, Brewster, and Perry are no better than the sellouts already in DC. They had an opportunity and didn't seize it....disgusting.

No. They have the power to put their National Guard and state defense forces on the border but they don't.

The game is over and soetoro / jarrett / soros won while the Republicans stood by and watched.

The feds recently admitted to catching and releasing into the US 320,000 illegals from Central America since April and they think they might only catch 1 out of 5 border crossers.

Don't forget that every female illegal over the age of 12 is now probably pregnant with an anchor baby, the ticket to welfare for life in gringoland.

like Murrieta, they wouldn’t tell where, or who, or how many or for how long or how to handle the social or medical services situation.

Now I’m not a Rex84-concentration-camp believer much, but it seems to me that a lot of facilities have been identified by some of those who do think along those lines. There’s even a list somewhere - probably even on Goggle. The question then begs, why aren’t these facilities being used?

Is it control of the visual again? Rather than house these illegals on decommissioned military bases or empty government facilities, is the visual intentionally being led to the public that churches are welcoming these immigrants? And if churches are, we should also? Is the Left again using an illusion of religion as part of psychological warfare on Christians?

Yes.
And it would be absolutely legally defensible:

US Constitution
Art 4, Section. 4.
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.

Art 3, Section. 3.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
Moreover, let us examine a particular State, and see what a governor could do:
New Mexico Constitution
Art II, Sec. 16. [Treason.]
Treason against the state shall consist only in levying war against it, adhering to its enemies, or giving them aid and comfort, No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Art V, Sec. 4. [Governor's executive power; commander of militia.]
The supreme executive power of the state shall be vested in the governor, who shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed. He shall be commander in chief of the military forces of the state, except when they are called into the service of the United States. He shall have power to call out the militia to preserve the public peace, execute the laws, suppress insurrection and repel invasion.
So, yeah; the governors certainly could call for the forcible closing of the borders to stem the invasion… and it would screw with the federal government right good.

What is needed is for a political leader to step up and ask the Border Patrol to do the job they’re sworn to do and close the damned border. In other words, call for an insurrection with the promise that the state police, national guard and citizen militia will support them. They are the ones on the front line who could close the border today by telling Obama they’re going to do their job whether he likes it or not.
