Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Friday said that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was “curiously blind” to the dangers posed by the terrorist group responsible for the security meltdown in Iraq.

The war of words marks the opening of a new chapter of hostilities between the two lawmakers as they weigh presidential bids in 2016.

In an opinion piece in the Washington Post, Perry said he found it “disheartening” the senator would “suggest that our nation should ignore what’s happening in Iraq.” …

Hey Perry, one problem at a time!

First solve your Border Problem by calling out the Texas Guard and the militias.

Do something for a change that will actually solve the problem vs. calling us heartless!

Iraq? What did you do about the southern border. Gov Perry?

What did you tell Obama when you greeted him in Texas?

Perry's all hat and no cattle....he will soon find out
what happens when one stupidly consorts with The Prince.

“What, does he think he’s running for president?”

He is. No other reason for him to attack Paul on this.

Uhhh...if Governor Perry were really concerned about hordes from a neighboring country, funded by the US, crossing a border and wreaking havoc.....

Oh, never mind. He isn't.

I don’t listen to a lot of Rand Paul, but from my view, do you want Obama intervening on your behalf on anything? Right now with this administration Isolationism isn’t a bad way to go.

It doesn’t really matter what anyone thinks about Iraq and the middle east. Even if ISIS is a grave threat to us, which they are, we shouldn’t do anything until we get leaders who like America.

Yup. Obama can only be trusted to do exactly the wrong thing.

Sad thing is that Obama will do the wrong thing via action and via inaction.

Perry is bitchin about Iraq while we are being overrun by illegals.

Illegals have raped, killed, robbed, and harmed more Americans than Al Qaeda or any other Islamic group.

Perry has aided and abetted illegals in Texas for over a decade and now his priorities and accomplishments is getting a limp meeting with Obama and having the time to write this tripe.

Paul is a amnesty lover, but we have no need to put more blood and treasure in the ME.

Death does work. Let them kill each other and balance out the region..

It’s ironic that the people who toss around the term “isolationist” are isolating America by alienating all our allies and creating enemies everywhere.

The hope of them “kill(ing) each other and balanc(ing) out the region” is a false hope notwithstanding. We have a POTUS that helps all factions, to boot, as well as actively helping the invasion at our southern border.

They won’t take their focus off the Great Satan, and they are currently focused on the Little Satan, in spite of the relatively little spats in Iraq and Syria.

Sigh.

How can he think he has a chance?

How can he do anything but get down to that border and shut it?

How can he think he has a chance if he can’t and won’t do that?

If the illegals were pouring in through the northern tip of NY would we blame the feds or Cuomo?

And after the feds refused to do anything, would we blame them or Cuomo. And then he’d run for president?

I mean it is shocking to witness such mind numbed stupidity in charge of the major crisis of this ‘presidency’ and our country and it’s history.

He is like an idiot.

They are mopping up each other right now. So yeah, they are killing each other. We often play both sides, a la Reagan.

No, it’s not as big in that respect as the press is playing it up to be. They are certainly no threat to Iran, who have de-facto control of the country via their puppets in the Islamic Dawa Party.

Hey Rick, how does that compare to your isolationist stance regarding your own border with Mexico???

When are you going to quit hiding from it???

BTW you looked great in that boat with your hat on backwards as if you were really doing something.

It was almost as impressive as your pouty face at Obama’s table as he was making you eat it.

Dear Rick,

Right now, you are the Governor of Texas. You have no control over Iraq or foreign policy in general.

Once you declare that you are running, you can bring up past history of other nominees during the debates.

Until that time....don’t worry about Rand Paul.

Signed,

Berdie

The political class just wants the border problem to go away. BHO knows this so he will just keep the illegals coming until the Repubs go along with amnesty to get rid of the bad optics. Perry disgusts me as his state has the money to fund using the State Guard and NG. He keeps hiding behind ‘I’ve asked the Prez to turn on the Guard money spigot. What else can i do? Boohoo.’ The Chamber of Commerce keeps telling him to just keep blabbing and not acting about the border as there are many members who can't get along without illegals as off the books workers. Perry, in particular with his blow dried visuals and endless meaningless blathering 4th of July rhetoric infuriates me and is the poster boy for the worthlessness and moral corruption of the political class.
