"To be fair, Jefferson isn’t the best source for interpreting the Bill of Rights,"

Indeed, who cares what Jefferson said? That's why I also included the excerpt concerning the Supreme Court's interpretation of the limited scope of Congress's Commerce Clause powers.

Jefferson’s views on the meaning of the Constitution are of themselves no more valid than those of anybody else. He was not present at the Constitutional Convention, and was less than enthusiastic initially about the new form of government.

You might be interested that your Washington quote is (largely) spurious.

Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance;
they are the peoples' liberty's teeth.

Also spurious. Same reference.

Do you have any genuine Washington quotes?

The guy was no Thomas Jefferson, but he did say some memorable things.

I’m sure that James Madison had gotten Jefferson up to speed with many of the discussions that had taken place at the first Constituitonal Convention.

Is there some reason you object to having inaccuracies pointed out?

Most people of good will want to be accurate in what they say.

I object to know-it-alls harassing the FReepathon team when they work hours trying to get deadbeats to donate.

Well, I object to people saying the Father of our Country said things he never said. It’s always seemed to me that truth is inherently conservative.

Only liberals, at least to my mind, believe in “fake but accurate.”

Why don’t you work 10 to 14 hours a day on the FReepathon and then we’ll see just how pious you are when someone criticizes your posts.

I note that you seem to have attracted the attention of a DemocraticRearOrafice type personality.

I also note that said person does not show on any of the donor lists. Not that that is inclusive, but said person could be one of those FReeploaders with a superiority complex...

If the shoe fits...

Now, it is of note that your name does not appear on the list of Dollar-a-Day donors. It is absent from the 300 club. There is also no mention of your ID in the list of Monthly Donors. While recognizing that these lists are non-inclusive and opt-in only, your absence might be an indication that you are just a FReeploader.

It is highly recommended that you redeem yourself by performing the following TWO acts.

First CLICK HERE and follow the prompts. A sizable donation will be most appreciated. You might choose to make that monthly. And when you do so, opt to have your name on the monthly donor's list so no one can call you a FReeploader again.

Second, contact the FReepathon Team (or even Jim Rob - he'll give you the info) and volunteer your time and expertise (which you seem to so willingly share elsewhere) to the effort to get the 95% of FR users who are non-donors (you know - FReeploaders, possibly, due to lack of evidence to the contrary, just like you) to donate to the support of this unique Conservative Forum that you are using.

Again, if the shoe fits...

There are those who give helpful info. Others just harass. Actually this is something new. Some posters now seem to feel the need to discuss FReepathon ads and it's becoming more frequent. As I said, some are helpful and some are just downright bossy.

Oh well.

Well, I'm waiting to see if this one's name miraculously appears on a donor list. But I think my initial assessment is correct.

A FReeploader.

Saying that it “makes it a felony to attempt to enforce federal gun laws in Kansas” is a bit misleading. The act applies only to firearms manufactured in Kansas, sold in Kansas, and owned in Kansas.

Didn’t Wyoming or Montana do something similar?

The commerce clause says congress can regulate “commerce” between the States. It says nothing about the giving congress the ability to regulate the products used in that commerce, and it says nothing about congress having the power to regulate commerce between the “People”. The black robed terrorists, our Supreme Court, has totally misread this clause, and they know it, thats why they should be called terrorists.
