An artillery shell from Ukraine has hit a private house in the Rostov region of Russia, killing a citizen and leaving two more injured. The Russian Foreign Ministry promises heavy consequences.

Reportedly up to six mortar shells exploded on Sunday in the small Russian town of Donetsk, which has the same name as the Ukrainian city and is situated right on the Ukrainian border.

Ukraine’s charge d'affaires in Russia has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry where he was handed a note of protest in the strongest terms.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has called the shelling “an obviously aggressive act” on Ukraine’s part and warned it could have “irreversible consequences” with Kiev holding full responsibility for the provocation.

Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin promised a “rigorous and concrete answer” to the shelling of Russian territory that resulted in the senseless loss of life.

Kiev has been trying to take back the two border posts near this town, and it has been the scene of heavy fighting, with at least dozens killed on both sides.

Yeah? So what's stopping you?

It wouldn't be that you may have blown up the house yourselves and are trying to convince a candid world that Ukraine did it, would it?

Nyeeeeeeeeeeet.

It’s a good thing that it wasn’t more than one... no telling what Russia’s reaction might be then. Good thing it wasn’t, say, one every 10 minutes, or hundreds per day, or thousands per year...

And, in other news, in the Middle East today...

Here’s a reader’s comment from RT:

“The jewish cabal running Ukraine, Poroshenko and before him Yatsenyuk, have not learnt it is dangerous to tickle the bear’s balls. Perhaps they hope America will bail them out like they do for their tribesmen in Israel. lol. Putin will squash them like he did in Georgia.”

I think we see who the real Nazis are here - the pro-Russians.

Here is a video of a house shelled in East Ukraine. Warning! It’s graphic!

Look at it quick, because Youtube is pulling them down as fast as they are being posted.

Is the Christian Science Monitor a propaganda source also?

Russia’s foreign ministry accused Ukraine of firing a shell into Russia, killing one person and injuring three others. Ukrainina officials blamed rebels for the attack saying that Ukrainian forces ‘do not do not fire on the territory of a neighboring country.’

Russian “news” reporting Ukrainian soldiers crucifying a three year old boy.
It’s just embarrassing at this point. Stories of Satan worshipping and cannibalism are next.

I recall about a month or two ago Ukrainian authorities issuing a warning that the Russians are looking to report an attack by the Ukrainian forces which will result in a large number of dead children. Not as massive as Beslan, but something as shocking.

CSM has been a crappy source for a long time. You've been here at FR for a long time. You should know that.

Above and beyond that, CSM is simply repeating what the Russian foreign minister said. So again we are back to trusting a Russian government source.

Lots of reports of atrocities committed by the Right Sector militias against ethnic Russians in the Southeast. This story is connected to Lyashko.

History tells us that of these stories, most are false or overblown, but a few are actually true. We won’t find out the truth until after this is over.

How many sources would you need to see the truth?

DONETSK Ukraine/MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia threatened Ukraine on Sunday with “irreversible consequences” after a man was killed by a shell fired across the border from Ukraine, an incident Moscow described in warlike terms as aggression that must be met with a response.

Although both sides have reported cross-border shootings in the past, it appears to be the first time Moscow has reported fatalities on its side of the border in the three-month conflict which has killed hundreds of people inUkraine.

Kiev called the accusation its forces had fired across the border “total nonsense” and suggested the attack could have been the work of rebels trying to provoke Moscow to intervene on their behalf. The rebels denied they were responsible.

Here is an article from that Russian-controlled, putinista propaganda outfit, THE WASHINGTON POST...

Is this acceptable to you??
RT was ahead of this story by about 5 hours.

You seem to have a problem gathering information and determining truth (at least on this subject).

Read your source...

Again...Reuters is reporting what Russia claimed happened and they are reporting what Kiev said happened. Reuters did not witness what happened.
