With no pressure on him to be re-elected, all bets are off. Or as Obama put it during a speech on Thursday, I don't have to run for office again, so I can just let her rip.
Executive powers unleashed.
Obamas statement about letting things rip was book-ended by two curious sentences. Preceding his comment he said, Im just telling the truth now.
I suppose lying comes so naturally that should a flicker of truth rise to the surface, he feels the need to announce ahead of time. Of course, announcing that he is about to speak the truth doesnt mean he will, but I found it odd that he would say such a thing.
The statement that immediately followed his let her rip comment was a barrel of laughs. And I want to assure you, Im not really that partisan of a guy.
His speech was jam packed with all sorts of goodies. In addition to his imperial proclamations, the speech was yet another that contained a dizzying number of references to himself.
Not counting instances when he quoted a letter from a citizen or cited dialogue from a movie, President Barack Obama used the first person singular--including the pronouns "I" and "me" and the adjective "my"--199 times in a speech he delivered Thursday vowing to use unilateral executive action to achieve his policy goals that Congress would not enact through the normal, constitutional legislative process. Love this line, most would consider it a throw-away but that's a large nugget of truth, IMO.
There is no difference today than yesterday, the ba$tard has been doing the same thing since day one and NO ONE has stepped up to stop him. He is a mad-man drunk with power and NO ONE is doing anything to stop him.
When a Malignant Narcissist doesn’t feel others are paying him enough attention, he goes off the deep end self-referencing. He’s both trying to make up for others’ lack of giving him credit and praise, & trying to draw enough attention to the oversight that others will see and appreciate him & his accomplishments anew, and begin to praise & admire him once again.
I don’t have to run for office again, so I can just let her rip.
Arrogant, stupid and immeasurably base.
The Liar In Charge should know, that a simple
qualifier has been employed by American
G.I.’s for years:
“This is how it happened, NO Schlit!”
With toady's technology, “A lie will be halfway around the universe before the truth is out on Free Republic.”
I dont have to run for office again,......”
Interesting. Was this a Freudian slip?
Considering that he admitted to “telling the truth”, was he really revealing his belief that he will occupy the Oval Office for a THIRD TERM and FOREVER? It does appear that we are now on the fringe of an overthrow of our Republic. I think Carol Brown made some good points, but she missed the big one.
“...he admitted to telling the truth
It’s pretty pathetic when someone has to TELL you when he’s telling the truth!
We know he cannot speak without the teleprompter. Therefore all of the “I” and “me” references in his speeches are placed there by the speechwriters and not Obama himself. They are preplanned and intentional. It is a very different approach to speechmaking than any previous US president has used. Who is directing this and what is the underlying strategy?
You know, we used to play the “Hi Bob” game when BobNewhart was on. If we were to play such a game during an Øbama speech, substituting the personal pronouns for Bob; we’d all be dead from alcohol poisoning.
Compare Obama’s speeches to interviews with Eagles QB Nick Foles. The man (Foles) will not ever give himself credit for anything. He always references his teammates and coaches. Even when he made the cover of Sports Illustrated, and was asked how he felt about it and his accomplishments he said it was a great thing for the Eagles, the fans and the players. Anytime he talks about himself, it is how the Lord has blessed him. Foles for President!
