If a guy deserted because of supposed fear under fire. I would keep him out of combat action.

He and his father communicated over email; they both expressed anti American sentiments.

He WALKED OFF POST IN AFGHANISTAN. He asked locals where he might find the Taliban.

Does that sound like “Battle Fatigue?”

They promoted him to SSG. Who would work for him?

Now referred to as a Warrior Transition Unit, and yes, that's where he'll most probably be heading for a fast track Honorable Discharge, IMO.

"Will Obama give Raymond Shaw, er, Bowe Bergdahl the Medal of Honor?"

Only congress can award the Medal of Honor.

That’s not battle fatigue. I’ve seen it up close and personal. I remember one troop just absolutely shell-shocked (a young SF troop, actually). He was totally crawled inside himself and unresponsive, downcast, withdrawn. Sadly, I think the med team did him a disservice by sending him back Conus to Ft Sam. The proper treatment we always said at the time was “3 hots and a cot”. A sane person IS afraid of getting shot, so his reaction was not some mental disturbance. Their actions might have convinced him long run that something was broke inside him. Going back to the battle after rest would have given him another shot at it after reflection.

So they still “can’t talk to him to determine intent” because of his fragile eggshell mind yet he’s fit to return to active duty?

He stands to collect $300,000.

Never have heard if Nidal Hasan had to surrender his half million in civil penalties or not.

IDIOTS....

Bergdahl Is Set to Resume Life on Active Duty

WASHINGTON — Six weeks after being released from five years in Taliban captivity, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is expected to return to life as a regular Army soldier as early as Monday, Defense Department officials said late Sunday.

Sergeant Bergdahl has finished undergoing therapy and counseling at an Army hospital in San Antonio, and will assume a job at the Army North headquarters at the same base, Fort Sam Houston, the officials said.

He is also expected to meet with Maj. Gen. Kenneth R. Dahl, the officer who is investigating the circumstances of Sergeant Bergdahl’s disappearance from his outpost in Afghanistan in 2009.

Sergeant Bergdahl’s transfer from the therapy phase to a regular soldier’s job is part of his reintegration into Army life, officials said. He will live in barracks and have two other soldiers help him readjust.

This is absolutely nuts. He was supposedly so traumatized by his abuse at the hands of the Taliban that he had to give up information that helped out the Taliban, and yet he’s already “all better” to go back to combat supposedly fighting for our side (the American people’s side, that is)?

This blows their whole “Stockholm Syndrome” narrative.

This whole thing just stinks. Like everything else this regime has anything to do with.

I still believe they’re going to say he was on a special undercover mission.

Happens all the time. Remember John Kerry's secret Christmastime mission to Cambodia?

We’ve got pictures of Bergdahl chumming it up with his “captors.” In a sane world he would AT MINIMUM face a long stretch in Fort Leavenworth “Turning Big Rocks into Little Rocks.”

One thing's for sure.. They'll keep him someplace where he can't be interviewed or be allowed to talk to regular folk.

The Army will keep their leash on him to protect Obama.

Worse, most people now are so Biblically illiterate they have no idea what you are talking about.

Nothing they do can make up for the stupidity of trading 5 top generals for one deserter PFC.

It was not stupid, it was genius. What is stupid is the public believes his action was stupid, not purposeful.

Sorry, hoot, for this American and for just about all of history, trading 5 generals for one PFC is beyond a bad deal; it’s a stupid deal.

I’m fairly sure you’ll say that Obama’s intent is anti-American and therefore it’s brilliant.

Because he’s anti-American, he can trade a trillion dollars worth of treasuries for a bag of magic beans, and laugh about how he really screwed us again.

But the deal is still stupid.

For Gawd's sake! What are they doing????

It's not enough to blame Obama. What kind of military would ALLOW this???

The same military that is training chicks and lesbians to combat as Marines.

80 years ago, the communists started infiltrating America's institutions. Universities, churches, the press. Now, the military is gone. I'm glad my father didn't live to see this.

How is he “all better” from his trauma after six weeks, so much so that he can go back to work?

If he commits any “workplace violence” it will be the guns fault. After all, it will be said there were no signs. /S

Oh, and the news said he’s free to go where ever he wants, including off base. None of the people that served with him have been interviewed.

Sorry, hoot, for this American and for just about all of history,

I think you misunderstood my position. The trade was purely evil, but from their perspective it was not stupid. The fact that we have many that will attribute the act to stupidity just means we have many who do not yet understand the true agenda of our government.

I do not call the GOPe the stupid party, just because we think they do stupid things, fact is they have a different agenda than we do and their actions are absolutely intended to accomplish their agenda, not yours.

Not stupid, traitorous. Stupid is putting them back in office.
