Skip to comments. When it Comes to Race, Why Worry About Facts?

Since the 1960s and Lyndon Johnsons Great Society, Washington has spent some $22 trillion on 80 programs attempting to uplift the bottom rungs of American society. We can argue over the details, but widespread failure is abundantly clear. Just visit Detroit, Newark, East St. Louis, and Gary, Indiana and vast stretches of Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC among countless other cities to observe the chronic poverty first hand.

Shouldn’t worry about facts... anyways, they are too stubborn.
The Liberal reply to that artical would be that that poverty is caused by Racism. We all know the story by now.
Nope. Facts have no place when beating your head against the wall. That’s kind of how it is to try to talk to libs/progs/socialist/commie/dimokkkrats and point out certain truths.
I'm am so tired of all this PC crap. Take a black person and let him walk around in an all-white neighborhood and see what happens. Reverse the situation and place a white guy in an all black neighborhood and see what happens. I would love to see this experiment done with all those liberals who think nothing would happen. Fine...go for a walk in your nearest inner city.
There was a debate years ago on gun control between Orin Hatch and Jesse Jackson; Jesse for control, Orin against. Jesse was on his high-horse saying that guns were killing blacks in the inner city at an alarming rate...blah...blah...blah. Hatch looked at Jackson and said: "Mr. Jackson, if we removed all of the murders committed by black men between the ages of 18 and 29, the US would have a murder rate that is lower than Switzerland." The camera focused on Jackson for his response...crickets.
The reason there is a disproportionate number of blacks in prison is because they commit a disproportionate number of crimes. We've thrown trillions of dollars at what some think are the underlying reasons for this fact, but the fact is that many blacks don't want to make the effort to support a family structure, work hard in school, and support that family. Eighty percent of black children are born out of wedlock and they grow up without a father present. Cosby, Sowell, and other prominent leaders have pointed this out many times, but the black community makes no obvious attempt to fix their problems.
No, we've thrown enough money down that rat hole, and until we see some effort of blacks trying to help themselves, I say enough is enough.
Well, fifty years later and two and one half generations later there is still a pronounced white-black gap.But even though blacks are not as poverty-stricken as they once were, they are still trying to find ways to close that gap. And again, what is being promulgated by libs as the reason for the gap? Why, white racism. Yes, it seems the country is exactly the same as it was in 1964 with nasty, racist whites still oppressing black people. But the Klan isn't riding around killing black people anymore, and Affirmative Discrimination, excuse me, Action has ensured that Blacks get preferential treatment in almost every area of public life.
So what could constitute this vast white racism that is still keeping blacks down? Well, it's so secret and hidden that we just can't see it openly. You know, "white privilege" and "institutional racism" are monsters that black people have to deal with every day. All white people grew up millionaires with mansions, fleets of cars, boats, trips to Europe, and admission to elite colleges for all the white children.
So my guess is that fifty years from now when there is still a pronounced white-black gap, they'll still be blaming white racism for black problems. Unless of course we do the right thing and just take white people's money "and white privilege" away from them. Yeah, won't that be a wonderful country then?
#5 seems to address the situation.
Do you adhere to the planned parenthood solution?
It finally dawned on me what G.A.P stands for as in “eliminate the gap”.
Get A Pass.
Wonder why it took me so long to figure that one out.
Listened to an NPR piece the other day. Woman making $50K a year is in section 8 housing. How does that happen???
Of all those cities named, one of them is actually a small town. Little East St. Louis, Illinois, population 27,006, gets an inordinate amount of attention.
Yes, it's a poverty and crime center but it's small potatoes, compared to those other places.
I don't know what their solution is. As it stands now, the welfare system is set up so more kids means more income (although some states now set a maximum). Their benefits are impacted if a male is present. I think the workfare system is a good start. That is, if you are collecting benefits and can fog a mirror, you show up M-F at 7AM to clean toilets, sweep the street...whatever the State wants you to do. It's amazing how fast they can find jobs under those circumstances. Since earned income is not affected, this might help keep the father in the house.
Mean IQ 85 for American blacks.
See extensive research, like the book “The Bell Curve.”
Perhaps much of that $50k “income” is from various welfare sources that don’t count against her Section 8 qualification? While I have no idea what particular games can be played in that regard, I’d bet dollars to donuts that those opportunities exist within the rules.
