KYIV, July 14 /Ukrinform/. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has confirmed reports of a Ukrainian An-26 plane downed in Luhansk region, and suspects that a missile could probably be launched from Russian territory, the press service of the Ukrainian president has reported.

For the 4th time today, NO, IT WASN’T LAUNCHED FROM RUSSIA...
It was launched, most likely, from a BUK-M1, a heavy AA AFV, one of four the rebels got when they overran the Heavy Anti-air regiment in Donetsk last month.
The video of the shootdown clearly shows the missile maneuvering above the plane, then coming down to strike it. It wasn’t flying at 6,500 meters, more like 4-6,000 FEET, as it was about to airdrop supplies to a cut-off and surrounded unit.

I have been talking about these for two weeks.
Yesterday the Ukraines killed a couple people on the lands of Russia proper.
Perhaps turn about is fair play after all.
Also, don’t forget that the rebels got both a “Mandat”, and “Kolchuga passive sensor” system from “Topas” factory in Donetsk, when they took it over a few weeks ago.
. Mandat-B1E is an automated data acquisition and data procession system. It gathers data on emission sources and radiates aimed barrage jamming signals within an area of monitoring. The complex allows to reveal enemy grouping in operational and tactical depth, to define a disposition of military units, divisions, their terrain co-ordinates and relocation based on enemy radio command lines and radio networks. Within the whole controlled / covered area (60km depth and 90km front) and within the whole operating frequency range (1,5-1000 MHz) the complex effectively jams up to 80 fixed frequency radio links or up to 6 radio links with FH technique - that allows to ruin the enemy forces control.
Kolchuga is an electronic support measures system that employs two or more sites to locate emitters by triangulation. The system is vehicle mounted and comprises a large vertical meshed reflector, with two smaller circular parabolic dishes beneath and a pair of VHF-to-microwave log periodic antennas above. The dishes may exploit amplitude monopulse techniques for improved direction finding, whilst the angled spacing of the log-periodic antenna suggests that they may use phase interferometry to improve angle measurements. Various smaller antennas, presumably for inter-site communications are to the side and rear of the dish. The detection range is one of the best in its class, but it is highly dependent on the emitted power of the transmitter being tracked, and requires satisfaction of the line of sight condition to at least two receiving sites for triangulation (compared with three sites for a multilateration system such as the VERA passive sensor). A Kolchuga complex can detect and locate air and surface targets and trace their movement to a range generally limited only by the common line-of-sight of the stations. Assuming no terrain masking, the line-of-sight range of a single Kolchuga station (in km) is approximately (Skolnik 1981): d(km) =130(\sqrt{hr(km)}+\sqrt{ht(km)}) where hr(km) is the height of the radar in km, and ht(km) is the height of the target in kilometres, and assuming standard atmospheric radio refraction. Thus, for a Kolchuga at 100 m altitude (above local terrain) and a target at 10 km (30 kft), the range of the system would be approximately 450 km. For targets at altitudes of 20 km (60 kft) the line of sight limitation would be 620 km—but few targets fly at such altitudes. Being line-of-sight limited, the system is an effective early warning air defense system against high power emitters. (Wiki)
That’s just smoke and mirrors propaganda you are using to hide the Russian criminal acts. The Ukrainian aircraft was aloft at 21,500 feet, well beyond the range of any shoulder-fired SAM or other SAM captured by insurgents. The Ukrainian aircraft could only have been shot down at that altitude by a air-to-air intercept missile fired from a Russian fighter aircraft or by a large surface-to-air-missile (SAM) operated by the Russian Ground Forces inside Russia or inside the Ukraine.

Ukraine says their forces had nothing to do with the incident. What evidence is there to indicate the incident was not caused by the Russian insurgents firing sort rounds across the border from Russia into the Ukraine? It wouldn’t be the first time the Russians were caught staging a fake propaganda incident to falsely claim a provocation to invade the Ukraine.

The KEY words here being “Their forces”...
Russia is saying that the shelling came from either a Right Sector unit, or a National Guard Unit, both of which were attacking the border post, at the time.
Kiev doesn’t acknowledge the several Right Sector Militias operating in conjunction with Ukrainian Units to be “their forces”, and do not report their casualties.
Nor do they report National guard casualties.
There is Kiev propaganda, and there is the video’d reality, as we keep seeing over and over again. The many vids of the incident tell the truth of it.
PS- The only reason Kiev is acknowledging this incident, at all, is because the video evidence means they cannot deny the loss. Again, this has happened over and over.
Russians employed by Russian intelligence and GRU services are invading the Ukraine by the hundreds or thousands with Russian tanks, AFV, artillery, munitions, and more with impunity from the Russian Government, and they are capturing, torturing, and/or killing Ukrainian civilians and military personnel by the hundreds; and then you have the gall to claim an anonymous shelling, possibly by Russian combatants, killing one person and injuring two other people just inside the Russian border where Russians are shooting into the Ukraine with GRAD artillery rockets and artillery shells is supposed to somehow serve as provocation for killing even more Ukrainians in the Ukraine. Yes, there is “the video’d reality”, and the “the video’d reality” clearly shows the aircraft had already fallen a considerable distance and yet was still above about 18,000 feet as the video started. Your comments are therefore blatant lies and false propaganda.
