Emsworth's Holy Family Institute proposes to take in children crossing border
Pittsburg Tribune Review ^ | July 20, 2014 | By Tom Fontaine

Holy Family Institute in Emsworth wants to provide temporary shelter to children who have entered the United States illegally without parents or guardians, generating concerns among some residents.

“We believe this is the right thing to do for our ministry and for children who are in need,” said Sister Linda Yankoski, Holy Family CEO.

Emsworth Mayor Dee Quinn said she was “stunned” to learn of Holy Family's plans.

“I feel like we should have been notified, and we could've had a public meeting on it,” she said. “I think it's very important for everyone to know what's going on.”

Robert Keller, who owns the Eclectic Art and Objects Gallery across the street from Holy Family's sprawling campus, said he is concerned about the immigrants' potential impact on the community.

“This has been kept totally under wraps by (Holy Family). I don't know why they didn't try to talk to the neighbors. When you're making a decision like this for Holy Family, you're making a decision for the whole community,” Keller said.

Anyone who thinks this chaos has not been planned for many months is delusional. We are under invasion by poor illiterate parasites from Latin America with the full support of the US federal government.

Escape from Honduras (Story from 2013)

Last year, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (Health & Human Services) in Washington, D.C., contracted with Bethany through our collaborative relationship with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services to open a transitional/residential facility to provide shelter for unaccompanied children over the age of 14. The facility, aptly named Bridgeway, provides shelter, educational and social/emotional assessment, elementary education, and ESL services to unaccompanied minors. Bethany is presently the largest unaccompanied refugee minor resettlement agency in the nation and the Office of Refugee Resettlement has announced that they are estimating a 44 percent increase in unaccompanied minors seeking help in 2013.

Right - for how long? Who’s paying? Medical? Food? Clothing? Schooling?

Holy Family is being paid with tax dollars. The “Church” has a new master.

And frankly any church wanting to support these illegals is part of the problem....

Very irresponsible. They are aiding and abetting law breakers. And you can be sure the entire community will pay a sizeable price for the Family's ‘compassion’.

Does Sister Yankosky have any plans how to compensate the community for the inevitable violence, sickness, overcrowding of schools, etc, the community will undoubtedly have to deal with?

Didn't think so.

Then they will “migrate” up to my area. Lord. Maybe we should coordinate some sort of letter writing campaign. It does nothing with politicians, but there is a slim chance it could have an impact on church groups like this.

Sister Linda needs to concern herself with citizens of the US. If she wants to help Hondurans, or Guatemalans, or....she can become a missionary to THEIR country.

These churches and religious institutions need to stop this nonsense now.

They are forcing the communities they live in to pay for their poor decisions.

DID YINZ SEE THIS?!?

The Burgh is going to be infiltrated! Good for the Emsworth Mayor for calling this “out.” Any one else agree that the fingerprints of Obama rubberstamper, Bob Casey are ALL over this?

I heard about it on the radio this AM. I was stunned. Before we can “take care” of these kids, we need to take care of our own first.

And yeah, Casey was probably all over it...

According to an NBC report, in 21012, Catholic Charities received 2.9 BILLION dollars for services provided. Hard for some to determine that the MANA from earth is not better than that which is from heaven. A new meaning to render unto Cesar, when Cesar is paying the people.

I have no problem with these payments, but I just point out that once in the quicksand it's hard to be pulled out.

They stand to gets lot of federal dollars for each illegal. They need to be confronted by the local population into rethinking their position. If they truly want to help citizens from Central America.....go THERE. Don’t help destroy our country. They should be ashamed of themselves.
