Rick Perry Is Dead Wrong
Politico ^ | 7/14/2014 | SEN. RAND PAUL

Posted on 07/16/2014 1:58:59 AM PDT by South40

There are many things I like about Texas Gov. Rick Perry, including his stance on the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. But apparently his new glasses haven’t altered his perception of the world, or allowed him to see it any more clearly.

There are obviously many important events going on in the world right now, but with 60,000 foreign children streaming across the Texas border, I am surprised Governor Perry has apparently still found time to mischaracterize and attack my foreign policy.

Governor Perry writes a fictionalized account of my foreign policy so mischaracterizing my views that I wonder if he’s even really read any of my policy papers.

There should be no “re-invasion” of Iraq. Glass it. Nuke it. Leave no stone on top of another and do it from orbit.

Nothing else will mean a damn thing and only waste trillions more of our dollars we can’t afford and lives put to a better use almost anywhere else.

Maybe if NeoCons hadn’t abandoned all reason, in their pursuit of holding on to power, the Republic wouldn’t be in such piss poor shape right now.

Pro-amnesty Rand Paul? Really?

"But apparently his new glasses haven’t altered his perception of the world"

That nappy-headed dork isn't really the one to be shooting off personal remarks.

Compared to Hillary or Schumer?

I’d rather Perry and Paul waste that oxygen.

Its way too early to be deciding who is and who isn’t a suitable candidate. I doubt either Perry or Paul will be it.

As to your rant about Perry’s inaction per the illegals swarm , he has done everything he can legally do. if you really were watching you whould know about his putting the DPS in gunboats to patrol the River. Perry has proved to be a damn good Governor.

If Rand wants to sound like Dad, then he will be relegated to similar stature.

Rand Paul does sound more and more like his father every day. That is why if he were to get the Republican nomination, he'd get my reluctant vote. He's better than Romney but then what Republican isn't?

I seem to recall someone stating he has yet to activate the National Guard and place them down south through known points of entry. I could be mistaken and will definitely recant if he has. He seems to me a guy seeking a microphone with less than needed action when it comes to this

He is determined to rewrite Reagan, just like Romney was.

I believe a Governor has very limited ability to activate the National Guard.

I also have heard that Perry has called up the Guard to the extent he is allowed. The National Guard requires POTUS calling up. Maybe this is due to costs, don’t know, but he said Texas alone has spent $5 billion on Border security which is the Constitutional responsibility of the Federal Government.

He conveniently leaves out all of Reagan’s interventions NONE of which Ron approved of and neither would have Rand. Rand is a libertarian through and through. Reagan was not
