I’ll have to look at that case and see how it relates to the question presented in Hobby Lobby.
That said, I maintain that the original four who found the ACA entirely unconstitutional will all rule against it in each case where it is challenged.
I just don’t see a justice who finds the whole law repugnant actually siding with the government in any litigation surrounding the law.
We will see.

Don’t worry Harry The Reid will bring it up over and over and over again until he gets his way

Nope..he'll have another "whack-a-mole" to stomp on next week........the scandals are coming 'fast and furious' these days. He'll put ice on it and move on (as Billy Jeff told one of his rape victims....)

The point was to set up a “War on Women” distraction election. Try to carve out the single women who vote for Dems 10%+ more than Reps.

Abortion, rape, war on women, Republicans want to take away birth control and put you in the kitchen, etc.

Blacks. Hispanics. Gays. Unions. Single women. The young and stupid. That’s the coalition that keeps getting them elected. 65 million votes for Obama last time out.

The country is fricked.

Many people in northern and eastern Maine call southern Maine “North Massachusetts.”

I live in Maine, can’t stand Collins, and will either do a write-in or vote third party this November.

hobby lobby has a plan that gives employees 80% of the potential coverages for contraception.

it’s just not enough for these baby-killing bastards. they act like the world is over b/c they only get 80% of what they want.

never forget that b/c these are the guys that say they are for reasonable solutions and compromises. they can’t compromise at 80%. futher muckers have to force 100% on people or else they scream the world is ending and all women everywhere will die.

I just read on Wikipedia that ME is the least-churched state in the nation. I would have thought that would have been AK and HI. Most who have an affiliation are Catholic. I’m afraid Collins is all you can hope for in ME, but I understand how you feel. Ellsworth is the fastest growing city in the state now, but I don’t know why.

I see quite a few churches here in Maine; they’re all over the place but I’ve heard that statistic, too, about Maine being the least church-going state in the country.

Meanwhile, Maine, Florida and Georgia, per capita, have the highest number of young men and women in the military.

Catholics are a minority here.....there are far more protestant denominations and their churches than Catholic churches.

Collins will probably get back in; she said that she would only serve two terms when she first ran for the Senate, but if she is re-elected in November she will start her fourth term in January. I’m hoping out TEA party governor, Paul LePage, will get re-elected this November. It’s a three-way race with a liberal “independent” running, so I’m hopeful.

Funny you should mention Ellsworth....I live not far from there. It’s still growing, though the lousy economy has slowed or stopped much of the commercial growth since 2008. Ellsworth is the county seat of Hancock county, and the gateway to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, so that probably helps it’s growth. I’ve seen heavy traffic and license plates from all over the U.S. and Canada passing through that town this time of year. The national park and the coastal areas really pack in the summer visitors.

Thanks for the insight about ME, I was geographically near you the week of July 4. Ellsworth had bumper-to-bumper traffic when I passed through there. Wikipedia said only 7 percent of ME is Protestant and 4 percent “conservative” Protestant but 28 percent Catholic. Hence a majority, non-church

Wait, if the vote was largely along party lines then how did it fail being the demos control the Senate...?

This was nothing but a political stunt. Even if the bill passed the Senate, it isn’t going to pass the House. The Democrats are just looking for a fundraising ploy.
