Insurgents attack Kabul airport in predawn raid

The airport in the Afghan capital of Kabul came under insurgent attack before dawn, the interior ministry said Thursday.
Rapid response teams were deployed to the area of the airport where a firefight was underway, Deputy Interior Minister Gen. Mohammad Ayoub Salangi said. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
