WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama is traveling to New York City Thursday for two campaign fundraising events during a national transportation tour.
He is scheduled to attend one event for the Democratic Party and another for the House Majority PAC, which tries to help Democrats win House seats. They are being held at separate private homes in Manhattan and are closed to media coverage.
Obama will spend about five hours in the city, arriving at Kennedy airport at 4 p.m., then heading to the fundraisers. He will return to the White House just after 9 p.m.

Can I ask a stupid question? Do we pay for his fundraising trips? Or does the Democrat party? Since this New York trip is all about fundraising, not official presidential business, why should the taxpayer have to pay for such travel???

His schedule on whitehouse.gov shows that he went to DE first to give a speech on - WAIT FOR IT - the importance of INFRASTRUCTURE!! Never mind that the stimulus funds were supposed to take care of that!!! It seems Biden never completed his assignment of the accounting for those funds.
So he gets an F.
However, since there was a speech given in DE on a very important national matter, yes, of course, the taxpayers are going to pay for the trip as he was only doing his job, don’t you know?
