I’m fine with lid number #1 being left up as long as the toilet is flushed on the way out, but if both lids are left up... the porcelin is danged cold and the water much colder.... epsecially at 2am....

I never grasped this argument. Turn on the light and open your eyes. It has served me well for many years.....yet I do hear the exact same complaint from wife.....so what do I know.....nothing...I leave the lid up. She has learned to look.
