Now that the U.S.-Russia relationship has broken down, Moscow could throw a wrench into the teetering nuclear negotiations with Iran.
The escalating tensions between Washington and Moscow, brought to fever by the MH17 airliner disaster, are finally to the point where they threaten to spoil the number one item on President Obama’s foreign policy agenda: the nuclear talks with Iran. The man doing the threatening is Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier this week, Putin promised to retaliate against the United States for new sanctions targeting his friends and business associates, as well as large Russian defense, energy, and financial firms. On Thursday, Putin called President Obama to alert him a civilian jetliner had crashed over Eastern Ukraine, a tragedy the U.S. says was caused by a missile shot from a Russian-made SA-11 mobile surface to air missile system located in a separatist-held area.
Putin’s next call was to none other than the President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani.

I suppose it takes Putin to alert Obama to the fact that there are things going on in the world outside of his endless political fun raising and golf trips.
Yeah, like Iran needs Putin’s help to roll the little boy.
You know what’s funny is that what the Russians think of Americans is slightly milder than what Iranians think. Not all Russians, but there’s been a good running campaign to convince the Russian people that going by the American way bankrupts the Russian economy and that Yeltsin was a fool for following western economic counsel. That’s the reason why Putin gets re-elected by the Russians despite so much of the U.S. despising him. The Russian electorate could care less about what the U.S. politicians think when they consider the Americans to be a bunch of #$%^&#%.
Well, Russia does support Iran. If we strike at Iran or some countries allied with Russia, the threat is there that Russia will retaliate against us. IMHO, Iran will eventually get the nuke, unless something catastrophic out of nature suddenly destroys the Russian threat.

I don’t really have a great fascination with what Putin says or doesn’t say.
Im simply concerned with the interest of Texas and the South. I don’t see anything to be gained for us by taking sides in the Ukrainian conflict. What has Ukraine done to defend us in our time of need? What has Ukraine even promised to do for us?
You don’t secure alliances by giving away the only thing we have to trade (mutual defense) for free. Frankly we have far more need of Russia’s support in counterbalancing an increasingly aggressive and powerful communist china than we have in keeping Crimea a part of largely useless Ukraine.
Frankly I need someone to give me a compelling reason why we should risk everything so that the nation of Ukraine(who has offered us nothing) can keep Crimean). I don’t see the pro-american math.

MH17 was shot down by the Russians or their idiot mercenaries occupying part of Ukraine, using Russian missiles.
IOW, Josh Rogin at The Daily Beast is carrying water for Pooty-Poot, just like all the rest of the partisan media shills are starting to do.
In order to distract attention from Putin’s terrorist act, the shills can’t suddenly start to cover Obama’s manufactured illegals crisis, or his Fast and Furious scandal, or Keystone XL — so they’ll be back in their anti-Israel business.

What deal? Obama would like nothing better than a nuclear Iran. Why should nukes be mostly in the hands of civilized countries. Korea needs company.
