Tim McGraw Smacked a Female Fan at Concert
Breitbart ^ | July 18, 2014 | UPI

ATLANTA, July 18 (UPI)--Tim McGraw "swatted" a fan at his July 13 concert in Atlanta.

A video of the incident surfaced this week that appears to capture the 47-year-old singer smacking a woman in the face.

The footage shows McGraw as he performs his song "Truck Yeah" amid a sea of fans and touches hands with people in the audience. He gives the fan in question a smack after she attempts to get his attention and grabs onto his jeans when she is rebuffed.

After viewing the video several time I fail to see how Tim McGraw's "reaction" could have been a reaction. He could have simply swatted the womans hand away. He clearly struck her after moving the fans hand.

Tough yeah. /s

There are crazy fans out there and a performer can never be to sure when one of them might be dangerous. I can’t blame him a bit for doing what he did.

It’s also something he doesn’t want to encourage. 10,000 enthusiastic fans not under control is not a good thing.

i agree. looky no touchy. do that to a female performer there’d be no problem with the performer’s response, and security’d have gotten involved too.

I haven’t listened to todays country for years, well I have but I can’t take it for more than a minute or two, it comes across to me as Disney pop combined with extreme posing. Either it’s George Jones singing “The bottle let me down” or I don’t listen. It’s got to be on that level. None of this Taylor Swift sh*t with the CMA trying to give it credibility.

I was by the stage when Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum touched our hands. I would never ever grab any one on stage though. A few weeks later, when I was at the Tim Mcgraw concert, I saw a lot of ladies running their hands over his legs. At one point McGraw saw a man being pushy with a female and he threatened to throw the guy out. I did enjoy his show though.

I was never a big country music guy and I’m too old for concerts now. This Faster Horses concert festival appears to be growing at Michigan International Speedway.

Fans of real country don’t listen to his brand of pop masquerading as country. We turn on RFD and watch Marty Stuart.

I got it in for this guy big time because when I was a kid growing up in New york city I was on a little league team that went to Shea stadium and his father “Tug McGraw” gave us the finger when we asked for his autograph. Out of the blue he walks over to us and stuck up his middle finger asking us “Do you know what this means?” so no surprise at all his son turns out to be just as much of a d-weed.

Not at all.

Fans should not be getting that close to a performer, unless they have permission and its under controlled conditions, like back stage.

Some performers have been stabbed by crazy fans.

unhinged people are unhinged.

its dangerous enough to go anywhere near a crowd line, especially for someone that’s not the darling of the left.

it’s quiet easy for one of those ‘fans’ to have a razor in hand

This is pure silliness. Tim McGraw was upset that a female fan was trying to rip his already-torn jeans. Can't imagine George Jones getting all worked up over something like that.

Speaking of George Jones, country music used to be cool.

Talk about an insult to Indians, “Redskins” has nothing on that.

I love George Strait’s music but have never listened to this guy. When I found out that he and his wife were Obamanauts, didn’t care too.
He seems a little high-strung too. This isn’t the first screwball thing I’ve heard about him.

Get over it folks! The “female” grabbed a hole in his jeans and was trying to rip them (she succeeded). She earned a slap and was ejected. End of story. Don’t like western male singers? Don’t watch’em.

Custom ripped and distressed jeans can be quite expensive. You don’t want them torn by an average person. It should be done by a Chinese sweatshop worker hired by a fashion designer.

See if your cable system has RFDTV, they are very Christian friendly, and you get Country’s Family Reunion with host Whispering Bill Anderson, and our Past Great C & W Stars, with footage of those who have passed on, like Grandpa Jones, Johnny Russell. They just finished up a God and Country 4 part series. They have Charlie Pride, and the famous Steel guitar player that has played for 54 of Grand Old Opry stars.

Then you get Joey and Rory Feek, though that series may be on hold, MS Joey’s new little girl is Downs and she was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she went for her check up, surgery is completed, but we all know Chemo is next.

Larry’s Country Dinner, Marty Robins, and even a Polka slot.

Taylor sings bubble gum songs as so many of today’s country stars do. A older star who has a great song, does not get the votes as we seniors tend not to do the tweet crap voting.

I never understood why people like George Strait. He doesn't write his own songs and he doesn't play more than 1 chord on that guitar he holds. It's just for effect. So what exactly is his talent again? Singing? OK, but he is just a singer. There are a lot of singers. He's an empty hat, really.
