Elizabeth Warren's 11 Commandments of Progressivism
National Journal ^ | 18July 2014 | Emma Roller

Posted on 07/20/2014 5:32:21 AM PDT by Rummyfan

Watch Elizabeth Warren give a speech to her fold, and you realize she's one of the rare Democrats who can excite her base in the same way Ted Cruz or Dr. Ben Carson can excite their own. As Politico's Katie Glueck wrote on Friday, liberals' minds may be with Hillary Clinton, but their hearts lie with Warren.

Speaking on Friday at Netroots Nation, a convention for liberal bloggers and activists, Warren got the crowd more fired up than Vice President Joe Biden was able to do the day before. (To be fair, the crowd was in a solemn mood at the time in reaction to the news of the Malaysian passenger plane crash). In her speech, Warren outlined more clearly than other Democrats the social issues that galvanize progressives. Her performance was reminiscent of a certain other young senator in 2008.

"What are our values?" Warren asked the audience, some of whom held up "Run Liz Run" signs. "What does it mean to be a progressive?"

The Socialists Wish to Play God

Socialists look upon people as raw material to be formed into social combinations. This is so true that, if by chance, the socialists have any doubts about the success of these combinations, they will demand that a small portion of mankind be set aside to experiment upon. The popular idea of trying all systems is well known. And one socialist leader has been known seriously to demand that the Constituent Assembly give him a small district with all its inhabitants, to try his experiments upon.

In the same manner, an inventor makes a model before he constructs the full-sized machine; the chemist wastes some chemicals — the farmer wastes some seeds and land — to try out an idea.

But what a difference there is between the gardener and his trees, between the inventor and his machine, between the chemist and his elements, between the farmer and his seeds! And in all sincerity, the socialist thinks that there is the same difference between him and mankind!

It is no wonder that the writers of the nineteenth century look upon society as an artificial creation of the legislator’s genius. This idea — the fruit of classical education — has taken possession of all the intellectuals and famous writers of our country. To these intellectuals and writers, the relationship between persons and the legislator appears to be the same as the relationship between the clay and the potter.

Moreover, even where they have consented to recognize a principle of action in the heart of man — and a principle of discernment in man’s intellect — they have considered these gifts from God to be fatal gifts. They have thought that persons, under the impulse of these two gifts, would fatally tend to ruin themselves. They assume that if the legislators left persons free to follow their own inclinations, they would arrive at atheism instead of religion, ignorance instead of knowledge, poverty instead of production and exchange.

Elizabeth Warren’s First Commandment, which she devotedly follows: “Lie like a traitorous whore.”

The rest of her commandments are examples of Warren doing the first.

“We believe in science, and that means we have a responsibility to protect this Earth.”

That is on the nonsensical level of what a self-proclaimed communist professor once told us as he was describing the differences between conservatives and liberals: “Liberals believe in freedom of the press.”

Here’s my guess:

1. Noting is more important than power so you can do anything, say anything, steal anything, to get it and hold it.

2. The truth is whatever you can convince others it is, so if you say something over and over it becomes true.

3. We believe in freedom of speech for anyone who agrees with us. For those who don’t, we believe in the IRS.

4. Women should get the same pay as men unless they work in the White House.

5. Money in politics is bad unless it is our money, therefore, corporations are not people unless they are our corporations.

6. You can help people by giving them things with no strings attached.

7. God is just a nice guy but nothing special.

8. Abortion is considered a women’s health issue so get over it.

9. Climate change which used to be global warming which used to be a coming ice age is real and we’re all going to die unless we ride bicycles.

10. George Bush is the anti-Christ. Oh, but that can’t be since we really don’t believe in Christ. My bad. Okay, so he’s Hannibal Lector.

11.Iraq was a bad war but Afghanistan was the good war. Oh, but that can’t be because all war is terrible. My bad.

We only need 9

The Basic Tenets of Conservative Party

1. Principal of Subsidiarity – Government works best at the local level. The closer the control of government is to the people, the more interest citizens hold in political proceedings and operations.

2. American Exceptionalism: Conservatives believe that America is a country of a distinguished founding, historical experiences and a unique path to the future. We do not take lightly these characteristics. Thus, we do not believe that American institutions should be imposed upon nations of dissimilar origins and experiences.

3. Government cannot legislate a perfect life for its citizens. Government’s role is to make life tolerable and to allow citizens to achieve their best. Legislation has limited ability to change our true social condition. Politicians have unethically preached to the public they have a right to steady economic betterment.

4. Citizens have a contract with the past, the present and the future to:
a. Preserve the best of our ancestors and change only that which leads to a
better civil and social existence.
b. Voluntarily assist those less prosperous.
c. Conserve natural resources for our posterity

5. Government should not “do.” Government must have limited intrusion in the marketplace. Government actions should pertain to fair and just competition.

6. The Federal government has reduced the citizens responsibility in life by overextending its participation in education, economics, food and housing.

7. Taxation, a free grant from the citizen to the government, has become extortion and the two national parties have used taxation as a means to create division among the citizens of the United States. Government re-distribution of wealth creates a covetous nature in the recipients. Spending of citizens ethically and legally earned money and consuming our posterities resources are not signs of a virtuous political organization.

8. Conservatism has been mistakenly defined as a philosophy of avarice and consumerism. Nothing could be farther from the truth, as conservatives believe that success is to be shared in a voluntary manner with poor and less fortunate. The primary benefits of charity is ascribed to the voluntary donor and the recipients of material goods from a central authority show no gratitude.

9. Those who believe that redistribution of wealth is an entitlement will themselves cause detriment to their posterity due to a lack of restraint much like consumerists believe our natural resources are purely for present consumption.

You are working on the premise that the media is "smart" and knows what is going on. I believe they are just as stupid as the idiots they are trying to pull around by the nose ring. But I agree with the spirit of your opinion, 100%.

Expensive, I believe.

- "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it."

- "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

- "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

- "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

- "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

- "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

- "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

- "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

- "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

- "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

- "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

I think Warren's biggest electoral vulnerability is her own damning words, in which she publicly claims to have created the looney, juvenile, business destroying, socially disruptive, disease-laded, out of control, intellectually bankrupt, philosophically incoherent, America-hating, unsanitary, disgusting, left-wing extremist temper-tantrum movement Occupy Wall Street:

“I created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do,” she says. “I support what they do.”

Conservatives need to endlessly tie her to Occupy Wall Street, recapping the horrific images of its appalling behavior:

As this thread proves, even Freepers can easily expose the lies, hypocrisy, and false and foolish philosophies of each of these tenants.

Pray that God sends us a wise and godly person to lead this nation to expose the lefts final hopes for this country. A world where the government is in complete control of every person, state, business, church, organization, word, thought and action. Where there are no boundaries except deemed by the government and all immoral actions are acceptable; any criticism is called a hate crime. Where God is called a myth or worshipped as a god who accepts all sins and all religions. Where the constitution and traditions of our country are changed to meaningless words or outlawed all together.

The right person will bravely stand against the left, the media, and both parties and respond in truth. That person won't be afraid to call out the aliniski tactics used by the left (explaining to the nonpolitical aliniski rules for radicals) and remind people that people who depend on the government will be slaves of the government. They will tell the truth about the debt; we are not 17 trillion in debt, but over 117 trillion because of unfunded mandates (explaining what that means). Young people need to know this will be Their debt and that this is what the tea party is about, their future, as well as other issues. That person will take apart every deception forced on this nation.

With Gods help this country will be turned around.

To: Theoria; All
Elizabeth Warren's Eleven Commandments of Progressivism, nomenklatura version translated for administrative application

- we believe in further government control of the capital markets, already made dysfunctional from over-regulation and the machinations of Progressive Wilson's Federal Reserve;

- we believe in using fraudulent science to effect worldwide wealth distribution from democracies to our favored nations: totalitarian societies, theocracies and dictatorships;

- we believe in state control of the Internet and the prohibition of free speech, except as such speech supports state control of society and is authorized in advance by us;

- we believe that low-wage earners should be forced out of their jobs and into government welfare programs, so that they can become dependent upon these programs and thus likely to support and vote for greater government control over the economy;

- we believe in telling fast-food workers that they should be paid more than they are worth so that they will lose their jobs, go on government welfare programs and support big government. This was repetitive of the previous commandment, because it is a shout-out to a potential protected class whom we are trying to turn out to vote;

- we believe in free college socialist indoctrination, funded by the middle class;

- we believe in pretending that we support the interests of senior citizens, while subtly weakening health and pension benefits by under-reporting inflation, degrading health care service levels and secretly planning adjustments (age of entitlement, etc.) to be implemented when we have full control;

- we believe in telling employes that they are being paid too little, so that they will further support government control of the economy;

- we believe in equal outcomes and equal misery, but not in equal opportunity. Enhanced privileges will be reserved for socialists (please use the word "progressive" when in the company of the masses):

- we believe that priority should be given to immigrants who have a desire to seek public assistance, a willingness to break laws and have no skills, so that these immigrants can form a reliable voting base to support socialist policies; and

- we believe in telling women that they have a right to kill their babies.
