Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday defended his administrations measured response to a passenger jet being shot down over Ukraine and mounting evidence of Russias involvement, saying the United States shouldnt shoot from the hip while the facts are emerging.
It takes facts for responsible leadership, Kerry told Fox News Sunday.
Kerry, the countrys top diplomat, argued the U.S. levied another round of sanctions against Russia one day before the Malaysian airliner was shot down Thursday over eastern Ukraine. And with the exception of ground troops in Ukraine, all options are on the table, he said. ....
President Obama is prepared to take additional steps, Kerry told Fox. Everything, less American troops, is on the table.

I’m guessing this statement was the prepared one rather than the one when he thought the mic was off. If we’d had a prez with morals and concern with human life, there would be nothing to defend, aka excuse.
