Gut Check: The Sleeping Policeman
Breitbart.com/Big-Peace ^ | 7-20-2014 | Greg Gutfeld

It's Sunday morning, and I'm reading the reports on the Malaysia Airline mass murder, and it's beyond depressing. Imagine if it were a son or a daughter, a sister or a brother, a mom or a dad—rotting in that field. And surrounding that field are a band of mystery men, preventing recovery. And think to yourself, that these fellows are picking through your loved ones' things—not only destroying a crime scene but possibly helping themselves to whatever’s around them.

It’s revolting.

How does this world let this happen?

Because we let it happen.

Amidst the clamoring for action and demands for investigations, a sense of helplessness permeates such rage. Without America leading the charge, the world body is headless; it's simply a chicken squawking around the ghastly field of dismal realities. Downed planes, kidnapped girls, women stoned for adultery, 100 dead in Nigeria. S*** happens, to be sure. But we used to be the s***-kickers.

This is what happens when a good chunk of US Citizens stay home and don’t vote - I didn’t care for Romney either - but it’s 4 ys compared to the 8 that Barry holds office...

Good article, but it took me three tries to get through it because the site kept crashing.

This is what happens when the GOP is so corrupt we can’t get a conservative nominee. I voted for Etch A Sketch, but that’ll be the last time I vote for a GOP liberal.

Calling the crash site a "crime scene" is a bit of hyperbole. What evidence could be found showing something we don't already know, from debris that fell 35,000 feet?

And, what does Gutfield want us to do - invade the Ukraine with our myriad CSI teams?

The US is not a sleeping policeman. The US under Obama has joined the forces of darkness. Obama is sowing chaos throughout the world. Islamic terrorism thrives when there is chaos and privation. Obama is an expert at ending stability and feeding disaster. If there is a decision to be made, he will choose that which hurts the West the most. Thanks to his Cloward Piven strategies and especially the invasion of the US from its Southern border, the US soon will no longer be able to help anyone.

You cut off the quotation before the best line: “We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

You BET! I'm sick that people thought "they'd show that old GOP"...... well, how's that working out for ya? When the rest of us are subjected to the results of stubborn idealism it's heartbreaking. No I didn't care for Romney OR McJuan, but either would have kept us from the "fundamental transformation" of our once great country.

Or...... the conservative movement is so riven with self righteousness it can’t agree to select a candidate with the ability to win

Until the GOPc can get it’s act together it will never prevail

Bingo. The people who were too stupid to see this in the first place are going to be too prideful to admit it now.

It is way to easy to pontificate loudly and blame the GOPe

Jeb Bush will be the nominee in 2016. Rick Perry will be second. We’ll fail to coalesce around him because “self-righteous” conservatives will remember him calling them “heartless”. They’ll have their pet candidate. There will even be people on FR (if FR is not censored) schilling for Paul Ryan. They’ll tell us what a genius he is (remember Newt Gingrich?). Chris Christie will drop our after Super Tuesday. Elisabeth Warren will be our next president which will be Valerie Jarret’s third term. We’ll have a civil war.

I am pretty sure the next president will either be Scott Walker or Rick Perry.

The Massachusetts Yankee witch will not be a real contender

I am going to be unpopular here.

The crash is none of our business. When people go into war zones they can expect bad things to happen.

Time to beef up US defenses and borders. Time to find neutrality, not isolationism.

Bingo. The people who were too stupid to see this in the first place are going to be too prideful to admit it now.

From the beginning of the 2012 primaries there was a loud cry from folks like me. We told all who would listen that we would not vote for a northeast progressive. Many news articles appeared in old and new media warning that conservatives would not vote for the Damn Yankee.

Republican primary voters in blue states, often with democrat votes in open primaries, picked our designated loser. As predicted, Romney lost. Y'all were warned. We cannot beat progressives by voting for progressives.

We cannot beat progressives by voting for progressives.

And amazingly the Romney acolytes blame conservative voters for the loss, not the candidate or the party establishment.

OK, poignant is probably not the right word. “Insightful” is better. Hm. I thought the right word started with a “p.” Alas. I’m speechless. Kinda. In a talkative kind of way.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

And believe it or not, voters (or non-voters, as it were) like you played right into the hands of progressives. You act as if nominees like McCain or Romney were sad that they lost. They were very happy to be losers to serve their masters. True, they are part of the Uniparty Ruling Elite, but at least if McCain was elected, we would have had Palin in position. Now she’s a writer. And we will have eight years of Obama’s destruction, plus his ultra-radical court appointments for decades to come.

Had McCain or Romney been elected, at least we could have incrementally moved the football toward our own goal. Now the wrong team is first and goal, and the clock is starting to run out.

All because a few hundred thousand “conservatives” were too ideologically “pure” to vote for a centrist candidate.

If McCain was elected we would be at war in 20 countries. The man is insane. Romney would have moved the Obamacare crony capitalist money spout to his donors. The political football would have moved toward the progressive goalpost.

As for Governor Palin, if she runs she gets my vote. If not, she is an effective voice for the conservative movement.

Dead on. The eGOP is dead to me. Conservative candidates will get my vote. I’ll leave the selection blank otherwise.
