The Washington Post's reporting brought down Richard Nixon. On Sunday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin wondered if it could do the same to President Barack Obama regarding his lawlessness on illegal immigration.
Palin, who called for Obama to be impeached on the pages of Breitbart News, demanded in a Facebook post that Congress get answers to two questions: "What did the President know and when did he know it?"
Palin mentioned that the Washington Post had a blockbuster piece on Saturday about how “top officials at the White House and the State Department had repeatedly been warned of the potential for a further explosion in the number of migrant children since the crisis began escalating two years ago.” The Post reported that the Obama administration knew about the flood of illegal immigrants from Central America for years but did nothing about it so Obama's reelection was not jeopardized. The Obama administration did not want to highlight it because they also felt it could threaten their comprehensive amnesty bill.
"The White House didn’t want to deal with the issue because they were focused on Obama’s 2012 reelection and the push for amnesty, and this burgeoning crisis didn’t look good for the President politically," she wrote. "So they willfully ignored it and in fact actively stoked it when Obama issued his own version of the DREAM Act by executive fiat, which led the illegal immigrants to believe they would be granted amnesty."
Palin said Obama's lawlessness on illegal immigration was the tipping point for her to call for Obama's impeachment. She announced in an op-ed on Breitbart.com that Obama's "many impeachable offenses" can no longer be ignored.

There was a lot that was really terrific in that speech. Tying illegal immigration to American joblessness, not letting Obama getting away with his intentionally-created crisis, etc.
How I wish Palin had focused on policy credentials these last 4-5 years, rather than a side biz in reality TV, because it is clear the GOP lacks compelling leadership for 2016—and Palin could have easily positioned herself, IMO, to be the one to provide it.
The question is moot.

What I would like to know, is, are we directly involved somehow in getting these illegal Hondurans, Salvadorans, and Guatemalens across Mexico to our border.
I’ve heard that coyotes, the illegal people smugglers, are getting the bulk of these “children” to America. This begs the question as to whether our government is involved with criminals who smuggle people. And if so, what in the sam hill are we doing involved with such people????
