A Muslim traffic warden said he didnt think it was morally correct to issue a ticket during the month of Ramadan.
Iftikhar Alam Imtiazah Butt (not his real name) said his bosses had told him it was okay not to issue any tickets between sunrise and sunset.
I dont think my religion will allow me to issue tickets to people which might cause them undue stress during the month of Ramadan.
"It can be a real pain getting a ticket if you are only a couple of seconds late back to your car.
I spoke to my boss about it and he said it was fine as long as I made up for the shortfall of tickets next month.
Iftikhar said he was not willing to reveal where he worked took advantage of his good nature during the holy month.
He also didn't want to be the butt of all jokes on some right wing news website.
Didn’t want to be the “butt” of jokes. :-))
‘Make up the shortfall next month’? WTF? Am I the only who sees something basically wrong in having a quota for something like this?
I’d like to see more Muslim ‘red light’ cameras ...
Well my religion says i cannot give traffic tickets to any Christian or Jew, so how about them apples?
This is the only good thing i’ve ever heard about Ramadan.
