"Well it’s not your land you stole it from the original occupants."

The Apache and Comanche killed the Mexicans whenever they could - I guess they didn't get the memo about the change of ownership. The Apache had a very high level of contempt for the Mexicans.

Mexico controlled Texas for 16 years. We beat them, paid them for it, then beat them and paid them for it again. I’m not terribly interested in pretending those 16 years trump the following 178 years (or whatever the math is there).

i wasn’t going to post anything about that. but the clovis remains link this continent to europe long before the indians
The controversial Solutrean hypothesis proposed in 1999 by Smithsonian archaeologist Dennis Stanford and colleague Bruce Bradley (Stanford and Bradley 2002), suggests that the Clovis people could have inherited technology from the Solutrean people who lived in southern Europe 21,000–15,000 years ago, and who created the first Stone Age artwork in present-day southern France.[61] The link is suggested by the similarity in technology between the projectile points of the Solutreans and those of the Clovis people. The model envisions these people making the crossing in small watercraft via the edge of the pack ice in the North Atlantic Ocean that then extended to the Atlantic coast of France, using skills similar to those of the modern Inuit people.
never hear this on PBS, FOX or learning channel

That’s why I think this is all just show. What are they gonna do shoot them? If they are just walking across the border and turning themselves in to border patrol they will walk across and turn themselves in to the national guard. They’ll call the border patrol and the same crap that is happening now will still happen. The national guard will just be the middle man.

The drug runners might go somewhere else.

If Arizona and New Mexico do it as well (both have Republican govs) it’d send all the illegals to California.

California being the only place where a wave of illegals bust through...

That’s maximum political pressure.

Genius, actually.

And Perry and our whimpy reps are letting the messkins take it back again. How ashamed Travis and Houston would be.

I wish Abbott would have been just a little clearer on the ROEs. Last time NG was down south with us the only armed one was the squad leader and the only weapon he had that was loaded was his service pistol.

I hope he is not proposing to go against the Cartel with only that. I am sure he isn’t because I think he is smarter than that (Perry on the other hand??????).

I do not like the “force multiplier” meme. Was used last time and all NG did was free up BP from office duty so that they could wander the bush more. Helped some but still took a month to train NG the software/office chores and then they rotated out and rinse/repeat. Did not gain much.

Need tough rigid ROEs. Tell the goat herders to keep their heads down....

I like the move, but I think Greta shares my skepticism. These people are trying to get caught. The NG is just going to turn the people they catch over to DHS. I guess that’s better than MS-13 walking right in.

"What exactly can the Texas National Guard do?"

They can drag them back to Mexico, confiscate their boats, and then destroy the boats. This will cause "refugee" camps to be in Mexico, not the US, and cause the people paying the Coyotes, to loose their money.

“And what about the Police State we currently live in? It was created by the War on Drugs, do you think the Ruling Class will give that up easy? I doubt many here have thought this through. The absolute devastation to Government at ALL LEVELS would be awesome. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN.”

I agree with your assessment of our loss of freedom because of the war on drugs and you can add the war on terror to that.

But you are wrong when you say that our stolen freedoms cannot be regained, they can and they must be. This is a national problem not just a Texas problem and I for one view the actions Texas is taking as heroic and necessary.

The day is coming when we will all be Texans, or we will be slaves and so will our offspring. One other thing, I have a map that shows the way to Texas and I know how to use it. If the Feds fire on the Texas National Guard, I will unfold it.

Shoot the pesky coyotes, those varmints cause a lot of trouble to ranchers and others. Would scatter the pack.
