Buy a gun this week! Ruger - Symbol RGR-American Made
Hmmm, do I see the invisible hand of the free market at work here?
Hopefully ALL other manufacturers soon follow suit...!
Eff You, Maryland!
I’m not sure its “free market” if a state is offering them many millions in corporate welfare to attract them.
There will come a day when all the Northeast gun manufacturers some going back to the early 19th century will move south of the Mason-Dixon line.
Beretta is family owned and goes back to 1526.
As the President Ugo Beretta said to Maryland lawmakers “Beretta does not bluff.”
Oh geez, now Lamar will make another commercial saying “he brought the gun industry to Tenn”.
He was one with that idiot Mike Hucksterbee in it saying, “Lamar single handidly brought the automobile industry to Tenn”. Really? All by himself?
Well, I guess Nissan, VW and GM “didn’t build that” after all.
I detest Lamar and I will NOT VOTE FOR HIM! I’m voting Carr in the primary.
Good! Why fund fascism with so much as one penny derived from a rights-oriented business, especially one they denigrate non-stop. If our business is not welcome here, then neither should our tax dollars be.
I already have a Baretta but everyone should!
Tenn=Right to Work State as well as pro-2nd Amendment. A twofer for Beretta.
“I already have a Baretta but everyone should!”
Baretta was a TV show. Try Beretta!
I have all five seasons.
nyuk nyuk nyuk.
Ya me too. 682 S Trap. Wife shoots 1301 comp
I’m hoping I can get a job there as it is only about 30 minutes from my home.
The place I got it was at B&B Gun store. the one that supplied the cops during the north ridge shoot out.
Is Robert Blake still above room temperature? I know he got away with killing his ladyfriend some years ago.
I have a niece thats wanting to get a job there too.
The plant is gonna be in the Industrial Park
on Airport Drive I believe,but haven`t seen
Wonder who that is building across from Hoganaes.
leave States that don’t support the constitution desolate.
I still think it was Fred.
Hope that makes everything clear.
Always tickles me how Yankees pronounce Gallatin
The town needs it...
Anyone know who Albert was?
The Baretta’s manufactured from today until production begins in Tennessee will be inferior. The union will gurantee quality is poor
Baretta, don’t leave home without it!
Sadly, Maryland is south of the Mason Dixon
Good for them!
Most counties offer tax breaks to get companies to relocate here. In the long run it makes sense for the county and even the state. They get a manufacturing company and payroll going to boost the economy. In the short run for the corp it helps them to offset relocation cost and start up cost. The breaks in general are no more than 10 years usually less depending on how much the county itself has vested into it via upgrades to required utilities, roads, etc.
In 1982 Tennessee hit rock bottom in the recession. This time around jobs are still to be had here that pay decent. We have no state income tax and intent to keep it that way, we're a right to work state meaning no union involuntary dues, and we now have a two state house GOP majority for the first time in many decades. Many if not most deals are the end result of a county Commission sponsored recruitment of a corporation into an area needing jobs.
You do understand, don't you, that Maryland is south of the Mason Disxon Line?
Only geographically (not culturally).
New vacant buildings for Obama’s new voters......
I hope Colt Defense follows suit and moves from Conn. to Florida.
Tax relief does not equal “welfare,” unless you’re a commie.
In the civil war, the north had all the industries, especially gun manufacturers. Could the south be re-tooling for a rematch?
tax relief for one business and not all business
is definitely a hand out
No, it’s the Maryland legislature and the governor, giving the middle finger to the residents.
I will keep you in my prayers for good results.
“Im not sure its free market if a state is offering them many millions in corporate welfare to attract them.”
It’s moving in fees, and an investment into long-term returns on jobs and taxes. States compete too and they’d be nuts not to accept.
The gunmaker is Beretta.
You haven't thought this one through, comrade.
Hopefully there will come a day when the entire NE is part of a different country called faggot commie mafia scumbagstan
At this rate, the slave states won't have a single gun maker on their soil in a few more years.
“Hopefully there will come a day when the entire NE is part of a different country called faggot commie mafia scumbagistan”
They are already there! All they need are border guards! But come to think of it, the guards are already there. Just try bringing in a carton of cigarettes! Capitol City is Chappaqua, NY. First “President” will be Chelsea Hubble-Clinton Mezhvinsky.
Just checked, he’s still alive:
Blake was born Michael James Vincenzo Gubitosi in Nutley, New Jersey. He’s 80!
When the CW2 lights off, we'll have all the industry, including the arms mfg.
What we need right now is for Mfgs to not sell, repair, buy, refinish, transfer, or mfg in any state that does not allow the citizens to own what they sell the cops....ala Ronnie Barrett of Barrett Arms.
