Worse may yet lie ahead [Israel and Hamas]
The times of a Israel ^ | Tuesday, July 22, 2014 | Avi Issacharoff

As of Tuesday night, despite the efforts of international intermediaries here in the region, there was no sign of an Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Visiting UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon had failed to achieve the long-term humanitarian truce he planned. This despite signs Monday that Hamas might want to halt the fighting.

The Al-Mayadeen satellite station, which has good contacts in the office of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, claimed late Monday that Abbas and Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Mashaal had reached a ceasefire deal, based on Egypt’s proposal for an immediate cessation of hostilities. Abbas’s intelligence chief Majid Faraj set off to persuade the Egyptians to make minor changes to their proposal.

After midnight, however, it became clear that Egypt wasn’t inclined to make the minor changes, and that Hamas’s military wing wanted more than minor changes. It still wants the release of prisoners, the opening of the Rafah border crossing, the opening of a seaport, and more.

On Tuesday night, the PA tried another approach: an immediate halt to the fighting, to be followed by five days of negotiations in Cairo on the issue of the border crossings, attended by Egypt, Hamas and the PA. Hamas is unlikely agree to that either.

The “unity government” of the non-existent nation and nationality of “Palestine” is no longer unified. Hamas did the bidding of its Iranian masters, Abbas is trying to edify himself in the eyes of his fellow Arab squatters, and Egypt isn’t going to budge on the terms of the cease-fire. And Egypt holds the cards here. Everyone knows it. That’s why the next shots fired will be in Egypt, even if it happens after Hamas’ latest war collapses.

Israel’s best play will be in the annihilation of those Hamas tunnels and bunkers and everyone inside them. They need to take as few prisoners as possible, and get some better subsurface listening capability along their border. Or better yet, after Hamas is eradicated, start building nice-looking seaside apartments with views of the Med, and move the entire Arab squatter population into those, bulldozing everything else in Gaza.

Thanks Star Traveler.

Netanyahu should take a lesson from William Tecumseh Sherman when it comes to these Hamas savages:

"Hunt them down and beat them until they cry 'Enough!' War is the remedy our enemy has chosen and I say we give him all he wants!"

The EU, UN and USA leadership can blubber and snivel all they want about civilian casualties, Netanyahu is trying to secure his country!!!

Let's see, in order to have a “war crime” you have to have “innocent” civilians. Didn't the Palestinians vote FOR Hamas? The Hamas charter spells out it will continue its war against the Jews and the state of Israel is destroyed. (So does the PLO, for that matter.)

You have the majority of the Palestinian people casting their lot with terrorists. Where are the “innocents” here? We have Palestinians giving aid, comfort, and protection to a bunch of psycho killers. Where are the “innocents”? You cannot have it both ways. You're either supporting Hamas (and other terror organizations) or you aren't. If you are supporting them, you're a combatant and not an innocent victim. If you oppose them, you need to leave the target areas (Gaza and West Bank).

This war will only end with the destruction of Israel or Hamas. Israel isn't going away. Hamas should consider itself on the endangered species list. With the Saudis, EU, Egyptians, and Jordanians against Hamas, I'd be worried. Hamas isn't well liked by even the Palestinians now. Hamas, you have a problem.

A cease fire is a good thing when there is no more Hamas to fire upon.

I can only tell you what Israel does and what their laws are and what they believe (according to my past comments on the subject) ... so I would suggest that you take I tip.with the Israelis and their government and the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

As for me, I fully back the way Israel is handling itself and the fine job that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing.

That would be a very long and protracted war in order to get them all. I don’t think the Israeli public would put up with that. A war like Netanyahu is doing, yes ... but a very long protracted one like the one you suggest ... nope.

What Israel mainly does is go after the leadership, as that seems to be more effective for their resources.

The worse is yet to come ...

For Hamas.

Do they have an air force? Bunker busters? Tanks? Nukes? Armored bulldozers? Shove Gaza into the the sea.

It is what it is. If one of the combatants (Hamas) will not stop fighting, I don't see that gives Israel much of a choice.

The ceasefire has been rejected. Hamas will only agree to a ceasefire (to rearm and reequip) if Israel is close to eliminating them and their malignant fighters. Whether the Israelis stop short of finishing Hamas for good (or break their will), mercy to these psycho killers will not help the cause of peace in the Middle East. Hamas has to be defeated or the fighting and suicide bombings will continue.

“Das dicke Ende kommt noch” — The worst has yet to come. Psy Ops by the US-Canadian First Special Service Force against the Germans during the Anzio campaign. It was a sticker with the red arrow head, USA-CANADA inscription, with the German phrase printed on it. Forcemen left it on the bodies of slain Germans during their four month long raids across the Mussolini Canal. The Germans were terrified of “Die schwanzen Teufels” — the Black Devils.

The Israelis need to play on the superstitions of Hamas and Palestinians. This is one way. Or spread the word that Israeli ammo is dipped in pig blood so there will be no 72 virgins in paradise for martyrs. Instead the Muslim terrorists get a one way trip to hell.

WWII was a war crime I guess. Abraham was a war criminal I guess, as was Joshua and King David.

You really should wake up and smell the Jihad, taste the genocide the muslims pray to satan to commit daily.

Jew hatred is in the mother’s milk, they are living for one reason, to kill Jews. This is what they are, Jihad is what they do.

You are wrong in everything you say and believe, they cannot be bargained with anymore than one can bargain with a rabid dog. The fact that it has gone on this long is prelude to present and future. The muslims will never quit. They can lose 100 wars against the Jews, the Jews need only lose one. And, if the tables were turned, if the Jews were defenseless within 24 hours there would not be a single Jew left alive in all of the middle east.

Deal with it and get your head out of the sand. Or, assuming you are Jewish of course, book a flight to Saudi Arabia and see what they do to you there.

When I say that God will sort them out I really do not know how or when, whether it will be a supernatural event or just God using other nations to do His will and rescue His people from the muslims.

They all want you dead, they all want me dead.

God will not allow it. He will stop this insanity and it will be judgment on all the muslim people and nations for blaspheming His name and for the atrocities they perpretate and celebrate against His people.

The plain fact of the matter is that Israel doesn’t do it and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says they don’t do it and Israel sends their ambassadors all over the world to all the capitals saying they don’t do it, and also the IDF posts videos on their site showing they don’t do it.

All I can say is that it’s a good thing you’re not running Israel ... :-) ...

It’s a good thing you are not running Israel.

How old are you? Are you a humanist—reject God?

Review the great flood and the cities of plain (Sodom and Gomorrah) review the huge hole that opened up beneath the Jews that opposed Moses and swallowed them into the earth.

Are you a better judge, possess a higher moral standard than God Almighty?

Really?

You sound like like a Woody Allen Jew to me. If you are a youngster I can understand, if you ignorant of history, I can understand, if you are ignorant of or reject the bible, I can understand.

I do not approve of you but I can understand you.

Will you judge God?

Here’s something from those who,are running Israel ... the government, via the IDF ...

Exclusive Interview With IAF Pilots: How They Limit Casualties
http://www.idfblog.com/blog/2014/07/20/exclusive-interview-iaf-pilots-limit-casualties/

While the IDF goes to extraordinary lengths to avoid civilian casualties, Hamas deliberately puts civilians in the line of fire. The terrorist organization bases command centers, weapons storage facilities and concealed rocket launchers inside civilian neighborhoods, sometimes even inside houses. Lt. Or and Lt. Omer are two pilots in the Israel Air Force whose work reduces harm to civilians in Gaza.

Lt. Or is a 25-year-old soldier with an enormous responsibility. He decides whether to call off an airstrike in Gaza for the sake of preserving human life.

Lt. Or operates drones over Gaza in order to gather intelligence before airstrikes. The drones provide the IDF with a clear picture of the ground in real time. “Before every flight, we have a briefing about what is happening in the Strip,” said Lt. Or. “Then we perform a reconnaissance mission to ensure the intelligence matches the reality on the ground.”

The purpose of this intelligence gathering is to ensure that a strike on a target will not cause harm to civilians. “Before every airstrike, the pilot needs permission from us,” Lt. Or. emphasized. “We [Israel] are the only side in this conflict that attempts to prevent civilians from being harmed.”

Some more from those Involved in the running of Israel ...

How is the IDF Minimizing Harm to Civilians in Gaza?
http://www.idfblog.com/blog/2014/07/16/idf-done-minimize-harm-civilians-gaza/

The IDF does everything possible to limit civilian casualties in Gaza. Hamas exploits these efforts by encouraging Palestinian civilians to ignore the IDF’s warnings.

Phone Calls and Text Messages

As part of its efforts to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza, the IDF makes phone calls and sends text messages to civilians residing in buildings designated for attack. In the following video, you can hear a recording of an IDF soldier calling a Gazan to warn him of an impending airstrike in his vicinity.

Leaflets

The Israel Air Force has dropped leaflets over Gaza that warn civilians to avoid being present in the vicinity of Hamas operatives. These leaflets urge civilians to move away from Hamas targets, making clear Israel’s intention to minimize civilian casualties. Since the operation began, Hamas has repeatedly instructed Palestinians to ignore these warnings.

Roof-Knocking

“Roof knocking” is when the IAF targets a building with a loud but non-lethal bomb that warns civilians that they are in the vicinity of a weapons cache or other target. This method is used to allow all residents to leave the area before the IDF targets the site with live ammunition.

The following video demonstrates how Hamas exploits the IDF’s efforts to avoid civilian casualties. On July 9, Palestinians fled a Hamas target after the IAF fired a warning shot. Moments later, people in the surrounding area flocked to the roof of the target, acting as human shields. The IAF called off the strike to avoid civilian casualties.

http://www.idfblog.com/blog/2014/07/25/idf-opens-hospital-for-palestinians-hamas-prevents-access/

The IDF has opened a temporary hospital for Palestinians on the Israeli side of the Erez Crossing. Even as terrorists fire rockets at Israel, the hospitals treating wounded civilians in cooperation with the Red Crescent. Hamas, the terrorist organization that rules Gaza, has prevented Palestinians from entering Israel in order to reach the hospital.

And another from those who are involved in running Israel ...

What the Israeli Ambassador said just a couple of days ago!

“THE GAZA RESIDENTS ARE NOT OUR ENEMY!”

Don’t let the enemies if Israel “spread the lie” that Israel treats all of Gaza as the enemy. It’s only Hamas that is the enemy!

— — —

Speaking at the conference, Israel’s ambassador to the body, Eviatar Manor told the debate that “Israel will destroy Hamas’ military infrastructure.” He also added that “the Gaza residents are not our enemy. Israel is fully committed to international law.” The ambassador also slammed the UN Human Rights Council saying they had “failed to protect the human rights of Israelis,” Haaretz reports.
