The divorce between filmmaker Michael Moore and his wife is bringing many details to surface, including that the two own nine homes in New York and Michigan, according to the Detroit News.
By reaching a settlement, Moore avoids a trial that could have aired dirty laundry common in high-proile breakups and impugned his long-hewn image as a common man by disclosing details of his comfortable life.
His hit movies and best-selling books have begat a lifestyle far from most ballcap-wearing, duck-waddling denizens of Flint.
Moore and Glynn own nine properties in Michigan and New York, including a Manhattan condo that once was three apartments. CelebrityNetWorth.com pegs their wealth at $50 million.

But, but, he’s for the little guy because he’s just a little guy too. And he’s VERY concerned about preserving the planet. Haven’t you seen him wag his finger to shame you for driving to work to your $10 an hour job? You should walk or ride with criminals on the bus to work.

She never had any kids for Moore (smart move), but has a daughter by a previous relationship. Also claims that she met Moore “when he was poor,” so I’m guessing there was no pre-nup. So, Mr. Moore better be prepared to hand over the keys to half of those homes, and a good chunk of his wealth, to boot.
Couldn’t happen to a “Moore” deserving individual.
And lets not forget wagging his finger at crony capitalists who take film subsidies. Never mind getting a million from Michigan taxpayers to make Capitalism, a love story.
And lets not pass over the fact that employees at his theaters make a living wage and have full medical benefits. It doesn’t matter that he took HUD money to open the theaters and staff them with volunteers with one or two actual employees to run movies he faces lawsuits from studios for unauthorized use.
I remember Pete Townshend took him to task because Moore wanted to use “Won’t Get Fooled Again” without paying for it.
