Gulf emirate is branded the villain behind Hamas belligerence, with PMs former security adviser saying it funds tunnel diggers and rocket launchers.
President Shimon Peres accused Qatar on Wednesday of becoming the worlds largest funder of terror due to its financial support for Hamas in Gaza.
Qatar does not have the right to send money for rockets and tunnels which are fired at innocent civilians, the outgoing statesman told UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Jerusalem. Their funding of terror must stop. If they want to build then they should, but they must not be allowed to destroy.
Qatars recently attempted to transfer funds for the salaries of Hamas civil servants in Gaza, following the formation of a Palestinian unity government, but was blocked by the United States, which pressured the Arab Bank not to process them. But former national security adviser Maj. Gen. (res) Yaakov Amidror told The Times of Israel that the emirates funding for the organizations terror apparatus, including tunnel diggers and rocket launchers, has continued unabated.

US blocked Qatari funds intended for Hamas employee
The United States has blocked the transfer of Qatari funds earmarked for the salaries of civil servants hired by Hamas in Gaza, The Times of Israel has learned.
A diplomatic source in the Gulf state, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Qatar had transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Arab Bank for the salaries of some 44,000 Hamas civil servants. Those civil servants employed by Hamas in Gaza since its takeover of the Strip in 2007 were rendered jobless by the unity agreement with Fatah last month.
But the money was never processed by Arab Bank and delivered to Hamas, the source told The Times of Israel, due to pressure from the Americans, who consider Hamas a terror organization.
This is strange, since funds from Qatar have never been blocked in the past, the source said, referring to the $400 million aid package pledged by Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa during his visit to Gaza in October 2012.
Hamass deputy political bureau chief Moussa Abu Marzouk lambasted Arab Bank for neglecting to process the funds in comments posted on his Facebook page June 28.
“Israel singles out Qatar as key Hamas terror sponsor”
Now, where have we heard that lately?
“U.S. Central Command Forward Headquarters and Combined Air Operations Center”.
Well, I’ve been posting on it. Is that what you’re referring to?
No way should Qatar be allowed to host the World Cup, or any major world event for that matter, until it becomes a civilized country.
We’re not there yet.
Well, they’re allowed to take on the six former detainees.
Is it just a coincidence that Hamas attacks increased right after King Obamadullah released those 5 Taliban commanders from Gitmo to Qatar????
It shows that those Gitmo detainees are in the right place for terrorist activities ... :-) ...
It’s time for all good men and women to come to the aid of Israel. It’s also time to acknowledge that we have a gang of neo-Nazi Soros trolls who have infiltrated FR.
Might want to consider removing Saudi Arabia from the right side and placing them on the left side with Turkey and Qatar. The Saudi royals are crafty and pay well to have written and said what most benefits them. Example ... http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/07/23/uk-qatar-saudi-idUKKBN0FR22X20140723?feedType=RSS&feedName=worldNews&rpc=477 ... article says there is a riff but Qatar and Saudi royals met yesterday.
Also we (the U.S.) just made a deal with Qatar to deliver 11 billion in weapons to them.
Saudis are much more dangerous than any of those countries, because they’ve tricked us into believing they are our friends.
I fully agree with you.
There’s loads of trouble with helping one Muslim country against another (which is what is going on here). You don’t want one to gain the upper hand in the region, because it would be a nightmare scenario, so you offset it by playing another Muslim nation against them.
The problem is that they are all countries you don’t want to support, but do you let the worst one - that you really don’t want - gain the upper hand? It’s enough to give anyone a big headache ... LOL ...
To avoid the headache would it be better to not play? I know someone else would fill the void, either Russia or China but like you I hate headaches.
The two blocks are in the midst of forming right now. The situation cani still be fluid. Earlier Saudi Arabia was lined up with the Egypt block (along with Israel). I kind of believe that will stick.
But, I think it will require some time to assess how these blocks will form. I think the “pivot point” centers around Iran, though. We’ll see ...
It has been said both Qatar and the Saudi royals are supporting ISIS in Iraq. Looks like the Saudis are playing all ends of the candle, with fire, while we (the U.S.) holds the candle.
I’m all for coming to the aid of Israel, but I want to support what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to do and not try to tell him how to do it. It’s like he yelled at Kerry about in one if his meetings. He said that he and Israel knows what to do and don’t need outsiders telling them!
Yeah, I know that the Saudis were backing the rebels against Assad. I was backing Russia and Assad ... against Obama ... LOL ...
what can I say ... it’s a really messed up world!
If I was living in Gutter now, I would SERIOUSLY consider building a bomb shelter. Israel doesn’t say these things lightly.
All this kinda makes one nostalgic for the old Cold War days and the M.A.D. Doctrine (Mutually Assured Destruction). It was sort of comforting to know you could be obliterated at any moment! ... :-) ...
iirc ... the U.S. has three military bases in Qatar.
Sounds right, Gutter was in the news a lot leading up to the second Gulf War. I wonder why they’re pulling this stunt.
Obama is working for Qatar, and God knows who else. My guess is Rockefeller.

oops ... internet search says we have only one military base in Qatar.
Bob, an internet search turn up one U.S. military base in Qatar. Read a report not long ago of Qatar royals and Saudi royals aims being one and the same. To answer your question am going to approach from this angle. iran is probably being setup to be attacked. By whom I do not know but believe the blame will be placed on Israel. (imho) moslems are moslems be they shia or sunni. All moslems will react violently once iran is attacked. Probably one of the thought out plans from one of the think tanks.
Me? I can't think of a thing, but if I rack my brain for a minute, I seem to recall a certain place called Gitmo. I just have no clue if the two are related. I just don't know. /s

Rockefeller history in Qatar.
The support of Chase Manhattan
The American banking giant Chase Manhattan Bank was selected for a management-services contract. Alan Mitchell, an Englishman fluent in Bedouin Arabic and a loyal friend to Hussain Alfardan, had worked with the founding board members on the establishment of the bank and joined Chase Manhattan to serve as Commercial Banks first General Manager.
Chase Manhattan provided training and general managers, including the American Donald Hayek, who succeeded Mitchell. At the time, Chase Manhattan, under the leadership of David Rockefeller, was pursuing an aggressive campaign of globalisation.
Rockefeller travelled to Qatar in his private jet, visiting both the Emir and the Bank itself, even financing a USD 350 million deal for four industrial projects, a coup later dubbed the 1977 Deal of the Year by Institutional Investor.
Developing a close working relationship that was cemented by means of fishing trips and private dinners, Alfardan recalled Rockefellers influence in a 2008 interview:
He taught me that one must be patient and must fight for what he wants and believes in. He also taught me that one must be strong and determined.
Initially, the Bank focused on Wholesale Banking and Corporate Banking services, targeting local merchants. Sheikh Ali bin Jabor, the well-liked and respected founding Chairman who was also a keen poet, and Hussain Alfardan would visit the Bank daily, even vetting potential clients.
Today, Commercial Bank, still under Alfardans direction (he is fondly referred to as the Godfather of the Bank by members of the board), occupies an ultra-modern 22-storey office plaza in Doha, a far cry from its humble beginnings.
Abed Aziz, the first staff member to be hired by the Bank, sheds valuable light on the astonishing rate of the Banks growth when he says, I started with him [Hussain Alfardan] when he only had one shop. From 1 January 1975 for four months we stayed in his offices. At the time, the Bank had only one other employee.
MAY52014 Now, even Qatar, a Muslim Brotherhood stronghold, is expelling Muslim Brotherhood leaders So, why are there still so many Muslim Brotherhood operatives working in the Obama Regime?
Egypt Independent Sources close to the Muslim Brotherhood said that Qatar has started carrying out the Riyadh agreement which stipulates the country must expel the Brotherhood figures, adding that some of them has already left Doha. The expelled members include Mahmoud Hussein, the groups secretary general, Gamal Heshmat and Bassem Khafagy. The sources added that Qatari government is working on a list of wanted figures or others involved in activities against the gulf countries or Egypt to turn them in to Gulf Cooperation Council.
A meeting by Qatar with other member states at the Gulf Cooperation Council mid April had reportedly hashed out a solution or the GCC crisis which surfaced when Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates withdrew ambassadors from Doha early March, citing Qatars intervention in their domestic affairs.
Qatar hosts a number of Saudi and Muslim Brotherhood activists opposed to their regimes at home. Qatari al-Jazeera Mubasher Misr channel is banned in Egypt and Saudi Arabia for materials critical of both regimes. The recent meeting reportedly discussed requests by Saudis and the UAE to deport Muslim Brotherhood figures. Both kingdoms are allies with the Egyptian interim authorities that had ousted the Brotherhood regime last year.
An Algerian newspaper reported on Sunday that the country is mulling a proposal to host Islamic Preacher Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi, head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars The newspaper, which is close to decision-making circles in Algeria, said that the Algerian foreign minister was informed about the decision during his visit to gulf countries. It added that it was intended that Qaradawi be hosted in Mauritania, Tunisia or Morocco. However, all were ruled out due to lack of guarantees of personal security to the sheikh. The newspaper quoted an anonymous source as saying that Algeria will condition, in case of acceptance, that the sheikh does not intervene in any political activities.

Obama closed NDIC in 2012, and said Holders DEA was going to be taking over the NDIC work. The DEA has no reports since 2012.

“Slim and his family are the largest shareholders, after members of the company’s founding family, in what’s arguably the most influential news organization in the United States.” Slims reputation for corruption is also well known in Mexico, and even the US media wonders why Slim has never been questioned for his profits from government concession monopolies that hurt mostly the poor.
Sounds like we are screwed.
note — the Moslem brotherhood are Sunnis and anti-Shia. They do not share sympathies with iran.
I’m not an expert, but I believe my Persian friend who explained to me that “Muslim Brotherhood” is nonsense. It means nothing in terms of Middle Eastern cutlture. “It’s an invention”.
I see them all as drug cartels such as FARC. The may have a “cause” such as “La Revolucion Bolivariano”, that appeals to the disenfranchised, but at the end of the day they are simply drug/criminal cartels supported by powerfull individuals and governments who don’t want to get their hands dirty.
FARC was supported by government in Colombia, the media sold the “bad boys with a cause” story with strong insinuations of heroism, and everybody got their palms greased. The only problem is that they got out of control, as criminals with too much money and power will do. The corrupt payoffs turned into civil war.
The titles, labels, “causes”, seem to make people forget they are simply murderous mercenaries, drug dealers, and human traffickers.
Whatever Iran and UAE pretend, Iran imports from UAE more than any other country in the world. There are more Iranians doing business in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, than from any other country.
UAE owns the bank in the Middle East, they run the show, and Iran wouldn’t exists as is, if they didn’t get along. Syria is an example of that “Qatar - Turkey Pipeline”, Assad refused Qatar’s plan, which was followed with US funded and trained “ISIS”.
My Persian friend also said something that most educated people understand, major drug trafficking doesn’t exist without government complicity.
There is a lot of pretense and duplicity around the world. Iran/Hezbollah is a major drug trafficking nation. The heroin addiction problem, is a side effect of the trafficking. Iran has a population with the highest addiction rate in the world.
Iran, China, and Russia are all slave nations with the highest drug addiction rates. The Rothchilds made their fortune thanks to the Opium Wars. Perhaps that is what they want to do to us?
Pure, cheap, dangerous heroin is flooding world markets and the media silence is deafening.
They probably blocked the funds because the US is selling Qatar something like $1.3 billion worth of weapons instead that will inevitably end up in the hands of Hamas, instead of the payment for people of Palestine.
Israel is shutting down the tunnels and it controls access to Gaza. They’re going to have a problem getting it past the Israelis now that they’ve destroyed the tunnels.
Egypt has also destroyed Hamas tunnels. They really hate Hamas over there and have been working with Israel against Hamas.
I don’t believe they “blocked funds”. We’re else was that reported?
Egypt hates Has because Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood are now one.
The brotherhood still wants the caliphate and they want to run it. More moderate countries reject the brotherhood and their caliphate for two reasons, one, they do not want to live under sharia law, two, they don’t want to share power with the Brotherhood.

Kerry promises $47 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza
AFP | Jul 22, 2014, 03.24AM IST
The United States will provide $ 47 million (35 million euros) in humanitarian aid to help Palestinians hit by Israel’s campaign in the Gaza Strip, Secretary of State John Kerry pledged Monday.
That is really an excellent list of links, could you please add the McCarthy article to your list. The McCarthy article doesn’t pull any punches in regard to the Obama administration participation in support of Hamas and the Brotherhood.
You confuse humanitarian aid - which the USA sends through UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) ... with support for Hamas, which neither the USA or Israel does.
And criminals exist In Gaza just like they exist in the USA, where they extort and confiscate money and goods here in the USA. What we do here is go after the criminals! And Hamas is certainly criminal, besides terrorists.
The Israeli Ambassador made it clear yesterday that Israel does not have a problem with the Gaza residents, but with Hamas ...
Manor, the Israeli ambassador, vowed that Israel would destroy Hamass military infrastructure.
However, the Gaza residents are not our enemies. Israel is fully committed to international law, he said.
He spoke at the UN Human Rights Council, yesterday, and said that.
Israel lets through all the UNRWA aid, through their checkpoints into Gaza, even though Israel has a total blockade on Gaza. The USA is sending that through UNRWA.
I’m in agreement with Egypt on Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. I believe Egypt did the right thing in deposing the previous Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt.
In fact, I was the first one on Free Republic posting about the two major blocks Muslim world, fighting over Hamas in Gaza, and that Israel was aligned with the Egyptian block, and that they were both working together against Hamas, which is good news.
And furthermore Egypt wants to remove Hamas from the Gaza side of the border with Egypt and put the Palestinian Authority in there ... which Israel was in agreement with.
You need to read my series of articles on this, for the last several weeks ... :-) ...
See Post #2 ...
I have not heard of the funds being blocked anywhere else.
I was just saying that the funds may not have been blocked, but rather diverted.
