Russian Inmates to Build Bridge to Crimea

Russia's Federal Penal Service said that the country's inmates would soon be contributing to public works including the construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge to Crimea and a cleanup operation in the Sochi region, the Kommersant newspaper reported Wednesday.

A Kerch Strait bridge would, for the most part, be more of a causeway. The waters are quite shallow.
Very feasible I think.
I’m surprised the Soviets never built one.

I believe that the United States has prison labor also...and I think we pay less.
