The Israelis will be dragged to the Hague anyway so might as well eliminate HAMAS’s entire leadership.

This isn’t World War 2. Then the opinion of the public only counted in England and America. That opinion was solidly behind their respective governments. Now imagine the impact that instant worldwide communications and cell phone videos of British or American sailors machine-gunning Japanese sailors and airmen in the water would have today. To put those events in context, frequently those Japanese stabbed the sailors trying to rescue them. So, shooting them was the safest and kindest thing that could be done for them. But imagine an out-of-context youtube video of each incident. Public opinion would shift as surely as the Earth turns. Hamas knows that and regularly sacrifices innocent people as well as their own fighters to win the propaganda war.

That is how large military’s lose wars. Israel will not go in and kill them all, as it would make them a pariah nation. So all Hamas has to do is stick around.

It won't work. The enemy must be defeated, completely, utterly, and everywhere, or it will just go on from somewhere else. Islam has never done anything else in 1400 years and you know it. See tag line.
