Hardly a surprise: During a recent meeting with the nations governors, President Obama made clear his top priority, which is to make sure that the governors dont go talking out of turn or criticizing his policies in any way. Texas Gov. Rick Perry saw no reason to keep this a secret, and as you can see here, he didnt:

He’ll make a fine President.
Yes. It would be wonderful to have an adult in the White House.
I agree. Successful governors make the best presidents, and I believe Rick Perry is the best of the current lot.
So what did he say?
Well, he's still got the IRS, the DOJ, the CIA, and the NSA (and the will to use them)...so who needs political capital.
a) Perry lied.
b) Who's Rick Perry?
c) Ignore/remain silent.
d) Combination of all three.
Obama has this so backwards. Obama IS so wrong on this. There’s not many good reasons to NOT impeach him.
Scott Walker has really gotten things done in Wisconsin with huge DemocRAT opposition.
Scott Walker of WI is also excellent. He and Perry are the two best of the current crop of possible GOP candidates.
“O” is more crude and base all the time.
This is exactly why I was so gung ho for Perry in 2012, he’s courageous. You didn’t hear any of the other 49 Governors calling Obama out on his blatant, in-your-face, I-am-your-master comments.
You hit the nail on the head.
I look forward to having adults in the White House again.
I get the impression that Obama and all his hangers-on and henchmen are all overgrown adolescents.
Constitution is not working of elected officials don’t abide by it. They are overwhelming us with new voters that will vote against our rights.
Excellent. He appeared sincere and deeply offended.
Typical Obama. He sees state governors as vassals of the federal government
You forgot the department of homeland security....
Good for Perry time to stand up to this entitled, affirmative action bully
I don’t recall Governor Bryant of Mississippi having anything to say about this. He was probably distracted and too busy trying to push thad over the finish line.
I think Obama is goading perry at every turn. the dems want perry out of the 2016 race...any way they can do it.
Reagan was a democrat and switched in 1962. so much for that detraction.
He’s an Aggie? What does that have to do with anything?
What are you, a Pauler?
The Governors have to do something ,because there is no one at home in the White House
That's just patently false. It's irresponsible rhetoric like this that put Obama in the WH, tearing down conservative candidates with stupid vapid accusations. I know you have some instance or issue that you use to support your side but the man is passionately pro 2nd and 10th Amendments, pro business and free enterprise, and the Constitution as a whole.
If Rick Perry is a liberal, turn out the lights, we're done.
If he weren’t pro-amnesty, he would be a possible presidential candidate to support.
If you are not bothered by this, then you are not awake yet.
You must listen to the whole cut. Obama’s threat to the governors is near the end.
You're outta your mind — he's
in on it WRT the
illegal immigration invasion, plus he's a ball-less POS who's afraid to exercise the authority he has because that would
rock the boat and unsettle his DC masters.
Art 4, Sec. 7. COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF MILITARY FORCES; CALLING FORTH MILITIA.
He shall be Commander-in-Chief of the military forces of the State, except when they are called into actual service of the United States. He shall have power to call forth the militia to execute the laws of the State, to suppress insurrections, and to repel invasions.
To the Agie haters....
It was a while back, but a Congressman from Texas was on the long journey home from Washington. He stopped to visit his congressional colleague from Tennessee. The Tennessean gave him a tour of Knoxville. They went down near the river to see the creation. The Tennessean proudly exclaimed This is our great University, The University of Tennessee. He went on to extol the great professors and opportunities for the bright students flocking to the campus.
He called the chancellor who graciously greeted the congressman from Texas with a Tennessee orange T shirt emblazoned UT.
While traveling, the Texan thought on his visit and concluded that we need a university like that in Texas.
Alas, disaster struck. While philandering in a gambling hall under the hill in Natchez, the Congressman from the great but fledgling State of Texas was murdered. He went immediately to hell. The fires burned heatedly and though not consumed, his hair, eyebrows and clothing were scorched. On presentation to the devil, the evil one saw the UT shirt and decided this must be a Holy Man and cast the Texan out. He found himself dazed but alive once more on the road back to Texas.
As soon as he got home, he called a committee to meet and they created a University, The University of Texas. To his day many Texans proudly wear T shirts of Burnt Orange bearing the logo UT.
Once again, like the Alamo and San Jacinto, Texans became indebted to Tennessee for greatness.
Federal Law already says you have to take care of them and educate them through High School.
Like it or not, there's a common sense to amnesty. Even Reagan knew that.
The sad thing is that this is common among the governors (or at least their offices) — last year I mailed virtually all the governors detailing how they could act, under the power of their own State Constitution, to end
illegal immigration (the invasion) and the most common response was
it's a federal matter despite that I took it from their own damn Constitutions.

This should be shouted from the rooftops...
What a petulant child. He cannot stand not getting his way. This is what happens when you have never actually accomplished anything in your life.
Yes he will make a fine President. I heard about this a while back with Obama threatening the governors at their own meeting. Its outrageous. I also personally believe he threantend Jan Brewer out on the Tarmac of that AZ airport. She was visibly shook up in the interviews afterward. She is still hiding under her desk.
Perry is the only governor who has had the stones to stand up to this POS.
Hey Ricky, you know how to deal with bullying? You get into their scummy little cowardly faces and show them who the hells boss.
This little bastard of a POTUS is a coward, you tell him to eff off and he will run for cover.
NOW DO IT!!
Most of the Aggie's I know are conservative.
What did he say??
Reagan has stated that his getting duped on amnesty was a mistake.
There is no common sense to amnesty, whether involving dreamers or this latest batch of invaders.
That Perry said anyone who wasn’t for it lacked compassion was incredibly offensive.
Brewer is as bad as Flake and McPain. AZ seldom if ever gets it right.
Your Welcome 9YL!
——. He’s a HUGE liberal. ——
Perry is a huge liberal...?
Please stop posting nonsense....
He may be a different shade of RINO....but a liberal....
Did you wake up delusional or are you a troll...
Btw, Scott Walker or Kasin is my pick....Perry a far second or third...
The Bamster is trying to dismantle the National Gaurd. He already took thier fighter choppers. Now he wants to defund them cause we are to broke! We need to take the National Guard money away from the States and give the money to the Fed Gov Homeland Security department. Comprende?
e) Bush’s fault
“He may be a different shade of RINO....but a liberal....”
Um, RINO: Republican In Name Only. By your own admission Perry is not a Republican. Perry is an amnesty supporter. No one for amnesty is an American. They are seditious against the US and would never get the conservative vote.
“Reagan was a democrat and switched in 1962. so much for that detraction.”
Reagan became a conservative then left the Democrap party. Perry left the Democrap party and is still a liberal.
