Beretta’s New Super Rifle
yahoo.com ^ | 7/23/2014 | Douglas A. McIntyre

Posted on 07/24/2014 9:25:58 AM PDT by rktman

Gun company Beretta is tone deaf when it comes to calls for restrictions on powerful guns sold in the United States. It must be the chance to make money.

Beretta's website carried an announcement that the ARX100 is "shipping now." Beretta markets the rifle as "Italian Design -- American Built." Regardless of its origins, the gun is unusually powerful.

Well, yahoo is a good name for these idiots and I quote "Regardless of its origins, the gun is unusually powerful.". So I went to the Beretta web site to find out more. Apparently the writer must be confusing the standard .223 with the "unusually powerful" Super Ultra Max FA/-18 Hornet .223 bullets. Further, he states the price does NOT include bullets. This asshat isn't a low info type, he's a NO info type. Face/palm

There, fixed it.

Beretta is not "tone deaf". Beretta is listening to its customers, free American Citizens (who want to remain free) and providing us with the freedom defense weapons we desire. Beretta is also moving out of the Glorious Peoples' Demokkkratik Republik of Maryland, because the Commissars thereof ARE tone deaf when it comes to calls for the government to obey the US Constitution.

The author is an idiot ... or a mouthpiece for tyrants.

Yahoo needs to admit that the “calls for restrictions” are coming from the enemies of the Republic.

reasonably priced at $1,950,

Doesn't sound "reasonably priced" to me. But maybe it is -- I don't know.

I own about 10 Berettas. All the way from the little pocket 21 to an M9A1 9mm. Also have a CX-4 in 45 Auto....

I don’t consider ANY of them anywhere near as powerful as my Marlin 1895 GS 45-70. Methinks the writer has only ever shot a 22LR something.

Agreed, but it is the rifle that makes sure that the projectile makes its point! Still that is probably pointless to the semi-journalist and disruptive to his/her horror at this obvious ASSault weapon that is too powerful for anyone to posses outside the nanny government.

Yes, soooo powerful that it is suitable for targets or even varmints and small to medium sized game.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it looks pretty hideous to me. That's not to say that it's not a great gun, it may be. It looks a lot like FN's new rifle, which I also find fugly. I guess people thought the AR-15/M-16 was ugly too, but it looks classic now.

Rifle aesthetics reached their high point in the 1900's with the various Browning designed lever-actions, although the classic bolt guns are pretty sweet too. None of the plastic stuff really comes close.

I just ordered a youth rifle to teach the grandkids with. I had a hard time finding what I wanted in wood and blue. Probably sentiment over logic, but I just think the first gun they shoot should look traditional.
