“Modern Family” is a show whose depiction of a gay married couple is so uncontroversial that Democrats and Republicans alike can enjoy it (as evidenced by the show’s getting praised by both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in 2012). But one of the show’s stars was uncomfortable when approached by one GOP fan.
Eric Stonestreet, the Emmy-winner who plays gay former football player Cameron, told HuffPost Live that he had been approached by Rick Santorum at a recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The former Pennsylvania senator and once (and future?) presidential candidate asked for a picture:

Tolerance and acceptance? Only one side in the political divide actually has these qualities. That would be Rick Santorum’s side.
Republicans need to just tune out all leftist functions and focus on saving the nation.

Another reason to like Rick Santorum, IMHO.
That’s always my first question when this topic comes up. I always ask the person if they voted for Obama in 2008, and if they did, I ask how could they have voted for such a homophobe?
Santorum must know this guy’s history. That being said, he’s okay posing with the guy. Who is the biggest player here, some hack actor or Santorum?
Santorum holds no grudges, is an easy going individual.
