The protracted hostilities have used up the financial resources set aside for the conduct of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), thus undermining salary payouts to the Ukrainian military as early as from August 1, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Shlapak said on July 24.
Ukraine is continuing to call men up for service. Odd that they are rapidly enlarging the army and don’t have the money. Also odd they would proclaim to the world they are running out of money. Are they looking for handouts or suckering the Russians.
That's not odd - they sincerely think that the world is obliged to finance their opposing Russia.
Fear not.
The U.S. will borrow billions more by issuing debt for the Federal Reserve to continue monetizing. We’ll ‘loan’ this money to Ukraine to fight our proxy war with Russia, while Russia works on a pipeline through the Black Sea and entering Bulgaria with a distribution hub to come in Austria.
We had the CIA spend god only knows how much money to launch a coup that actually involved east european neo-nazis as street storm troopers, and in return judo Putin cripples the breakaway Ukraine by seizing its industrial and mineral heartland, Crimea, and setting the stage to leave them out of the gas loop to central Europe.
Good luck convincing German industry they shouldn’t buy the cheapest gas they can to fuel their factories so they can sell their goods abroad.
The Germans and the Russians have their buffer. The U.S. is delusional to try and manage their DMZ.

Kiev is broke,
the coup government coalition fell today,
they are broke, having spent all of the US grant money and the IMF tranche,
They don’t have enough gas to get through the winter, even a mild one.
They are taking heavy losses in the field, even if they aren’t acknowledging them, forcing yet a third round of forced conscription, and “marshal law lite” as of today.
They desperately need foreign intervention, even more so than the rebels do.
I sort of agree with them. The EU encouraged the changing of allegiances and need to support Ukraine in this time - or bring back the old regime - at least that way they will be warm next winter! Another half arsed revolution encouraged by the West with no plan for a good outcome!
LOL ! So now, mongo, please tell what are your assessment of the pro-russian fraction's results during the next elections ?
Maybe the Nazis can come to power.
The government did not fall. It is their tactical decision to have early elections. Pro Ukrainian forces will get a strong majority now as Russia has shown their true colors and can’t fool people as they did in 2012 elections.
Let’s discuss.
Maybe Kiev should do what the Russian rebels are doing to finance their insurgency campaign — shoot down commercial airliners and then loot the victims.

The order, Number 432, says that jewellery, watches and other valuables taken from bodies must be handed in to the ‘defence fund’ of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic by 8pm on Wednesday 23 July taken to Strelkov’s headquarters so they can be used to fund the insurgency campaign he is conducting.
‘To all detachments of Donetsk People’s Republic army, to soldiers and commanders who from 18 to 21 July 2014 in the area where the Boeing 777 of Malaysian airlines crashed and who possess personal belongings related to this airplane.
‘Before 8 pm on 23 July 2014 you must give these things away to the headquarters of DPR army. Valuable items (watches, earrings, lockets and other jewellery) must be sent to the DPR Defence Fund.’
It is signed by Russian rebel army commander Colonel Igor Strelkov, and carries what appears to be an official stamp....

The East (and Dniepropetrovsk) is the main Ukrainian industrial centre. If Ukraine lost the East it'd be an agricultural country. However, the both "people's republics" hold just a part of it. Kharkiv, Dniepropetrovsk are in the Kyiv's control.
It's interesting that some Ukraininan insdustry has provided Russia with military tech (like aviation engines, planes) and serviced Russian liquid-fuel nukes (Satans). Now the Ukrainians are likely to loose this market. And many workers may emigrate to Russia over all this.
Call odumbo, he gives away our money like its water to a thirsty person. What’s a million or two to him? Means nothing.

I have no idea whether Kiev is broke or not. I do know in some cases private money is being used to directly equip some members of the military. There was never a coup. The former president abandoned the office when it became apparent the extent of his theft would become known. The prime minister’s resignation is no surprise in a parliamentary government. That it taking place in an orderly fashion as expected following the national elections that brought Pereshenko to power. the surprise is it did not happen sooner.
The Ukrainians have been up front about their losses especially since a number of their aircraft have been shot down with Russian supplied weapons.
From what I’m hearing and reading locally, the call up is dependent on individual circumstances. It appears orderly and is not a willy nilly conscription.
No one I’m in communications with either in person or via internet posts have mentioned any type of martial law unless the Russian mercenaries have imposed it in their limited area of occupation.
The mercenaries’ control a limited area. FWIW, they are no where near the heavy ship building cities that furnished aircraft carriers to Russia nor where the premier gas turbine manufacturer is located.
