They ALL are. Its part of their religion. And time again they have dmeonstrated that gun control is not about crime control. Its about citizen control.
The Democrats HAVE become what the Founding Fathers warned us about - people who want to take away all your rights and support a power-mad tyrant in the White House because he promises to give them all free stuff.

Two Problems with the story:
1) “it shows me that people are complying with the law”
It shows no such thing
2) “fewer dangerous people with guns”
This assumes those restricted from access are “dangerous”, which has no basis in fact.
I hate the fact that they do background checks that identify the weapon being purchased. That being said since I signed on to FreeRepublic I have come into possession of about 20 weapons. Some from dealers, some from sporting goods stores and the majority from gun shows. The only two guns that haven’t been background checked are two antique shotguns my father gave me. Where is that huge gun show loophole?
Could it be more likely that they got the number of private transactions right to begin with and 93% are just ignoring this unenforceable and unconstitutional law?

CO is one of 13 states that insists on spending our tax money to do our own background check in addition to the NICS check. We have consistently had among the highest rate of reversed on appeal denials. So aside from there being no guarantee that the people denied where people affected by the new law, here is not a very good chance at all that any or the people denied were dangerous. Criminal know they are criminals and usually don’t acquire guns through channels that require background checks.
The intent of gun control is NOT crime control. Liberals need street crime to keep their constituents occupied and not thinking, and lots of violent street crime keeps them down rather cheaply.
Crime is enabled when citizens are disarmed (the flipside of More Guns Less Crime). When criminals get into office they enable other criminals to operate.
So, when they pass gun control laws and crime goes up, it’s not a failure of the law, to a liberal, it’s an excuse for more laws.
The other goal of gun control is to prevent we the people from forming up into large armed groups seeking to oust criminals in our government. They don’t teach the Battle Of Athens in schools but I bet most politicians know about it.

the only one i can tell is if you at a gun show buy a gun from a private person. buying from another private person is the only one they despise and consider a “loophole”. private sales are not loopholes.
if they are, then selling anything you own to another private person is a loophole. it is legal for you to sell to another without having to do a background check. and only criminals sell to shady folks and/or sell deliberately to known criminals or straw buyers, they’ve decided that’s how they want to be. most gun folks will not sell to people that look shady or act funny about it. they don’t want it biting them’in the ass by asociation.
I have gifted some of my guns to family members. I know their backgrounds. The only gun I have sold was one I let a friend use to go deer hunting. The Enfield nailed a deer at several hundred yards and he loved it. I had two so I sold him the gun. I would never sell to someone I don’t know.
and i think you are indicative of over 99% of citizen gun owners.
so this private-sale ‘loophole’ they cite is really bogus, a non-starter.
