Posted on 07/25/2014 8:18:36 PM PDT by Olog-hai
A federal grand jury on Friday charged a California state senator with more felonies in addition to the eight counts he already faced in a sweeping organized crime and public corruption case centered in San Franciscos Chinatown. [ ]
Yee pleaded not guilty to the original eight charges. He will have to enter a plea Wednesday to the charges in the new indictment.
The new accusations allege that San Francisco Democrat offered to help pass legislation making it harder for professional football players to obtain workers compensation in California, in exchange for campaign contributions from an unidentified NFL owner.
The new indictment also accuses Yee of taking bribes in exchange for votes in favor of several bills, including one on medical marijuana and another to extend the life of the California State Athletic Commission.

Well we in California have had some “good” come from this. Yee and two other RAT State Senators ( One Black, the other Mexican), have also been indicted for criminal activity, and as a consequence have been expelled from the Senate pending the outcome of their trials. But these three, are unwilling to resign (so Brown could appoint another three RATS), so now the RAT Senate is no longer fillibuster-proof, and with that change, poof goes Brown’s legislative “program,” at least for this year.
Unidentified NFL owner?
