A tunnel terror underneath a bathtub in Gaza exposed
Jerusalem Online ^ | 7/26/2014 | Yael Klein

During the ground offensive IDF soldiers have also exposed a tunnel camouflaged under a bathroom.

Inside a house in the neighborhood of Shuja'iyya in Gaza a tunnel shaft was found under the sink, in between the sewage pipes and the cleaning supplies. According to IDF assessments this tunnel was not originally destined to aid terrorists with infiltration to Israel, but was built for a different destination.

This is a command and control tunnels which connects between different destinations inside Gaza Strip, in order to enable Hamas activists to hide inside it for longer periods of time, without being exposed to attacks and dangers above ground.

You are nice and comfy in your mama's basement, while Israelis are fighting for their existence. Israel sits between Western civilization and the 7th Century barbarism of Islam. They deeply understand both worlds. Daniel Greenfield has defined it simply, and brilliantly when he says,

The soldier-civilian distinction has never mattered to the other side. As I’ve already documented, there are numerous Fatwas defining all Israelis as soldiers. And Hamas and its supporters insist on defining all civilians as Jihadists.

Hamas does not recognize the distinction between fighters and civilians either on its side or on the Israeli side. That makes the conventional laws of wars useless.

I don’t believe this story. Everyone knows they don’t take baths.

But Israel also understands world politics. They are playing the middle in their fight for survival.

You said ... “So yeah, we get it. The IDF respects Gaza civilians.”

There would be nothing more to say if everyone did get it like you say. But instead, I see many saying things that Israel itself never says or what they want the world to know.

Israel does NOT want the world to think or believe that Israel views “The people of Gaza are Hamas” ... :-) ...

IF ONLY everyone did get it, as you say ...

To be absolutely accurate, Israel has an abiding respect for the ability of the European nations to mount loud and long protests that favor the Israeli enemies getting their asses kicked.

So, Israel must create the appearance of protecting the populace while kicking as much infrastructure ass and killing as many nonuniformed combatants as possible. One could argue Star Traveler is an IDF troll putting out the IDF talking points. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt though.

But cynic that I am, I will believe that the IDF is quickly walking a fine line to destroy as much and kill as many as they can before the Euros start whining for an end.

“Hamas is Gaza, Gaza is Hamas.”

Wow. Not sure how anyone can be that uneducated.

Then Why does Israel.

Knock on the roof 15 minutes before blowing up the building with much larger ordinace.

Do they warn the People of Gaza where they need to leave before Attacking.

If Israel thought All Gaza was Hamas, They would level Gaza from the air and pour concrete and never put foot soldiers at risk.

But the don’t. They put the IDF at considerable extra risk to make sure they are not killing the Innocent.

No matter how vile or corrupt something is. There is always innocent near that wants to be free.

Yes even Children in Gaza.

Muslims remind me of fire ants.

Not good for anything and will swarm and bite at the least provocation.

We need Amdro for muslims.

The IDF points this very thing out about Hamas, that they don’t protect the Gaza residents like the IDF does, while in the very same article they point out that the IDF DOES PROTECT the residents of Gaza.

What the IDF is calling attention to is, in so many words, that ...”We do NOT view the residents of Gaza as Hamas!”

That’s from the IDF itself!

How noble. How naive. How ultimately suicidal. BTW, that gunman that just shot your child in front of you, just wants to be free. He just does not understand how. His rage was just a cry for help...

I’m not sure what an “IDF Troll” is ... but I can tell you I have immense respect for the way the IDF is conducting this war and immense respect for the way Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is governing the country along with his policies.

I’m not sure if that makes me an “IDF Troll” ... :-) ...

Some people seem to be “just itching” to commit war crimes. It is very fortunate that this does not include Israel or the IDF or Prime Minoster Benjamin Netanyahu!

There are no war crimes. If there were all of Gaza would be in prison for firing thousands of deadly rockets at Israel.

The object of war is to kill the enemy. Until the enemy is gone, there is but a continuation of the war.

I agree with killing the enemy, and so does Israel.

The problem here (in the discussion) is that Israel itself, the IDF itself, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself - is NOT defining the enemy as “all Gaza”, but is protecting the residents of Gaza as “NOT THE ENEMY”.

Kill all the enemy you want, but at least have the same definition of “the enemy” as Israel MAINTAINS LOUDLY to the world ... :-) ...

Two things I don’t get about this conflict:

1) What did Hamas think was going to happen when they started launching missles into Israel? They sure put a lot of effort into the infrastructure just to have it destroyed. Why bother building tunnels if they know they are just going to be blown up? These people think so differently from anything I am used to.

2) Why is Israel fighing a tactical war? They will just have to fight it agian 5-10 years from now. Seems to me they need to be fighting a strategic war to break the will of Hamas and their supports. There should be a scar left for generations that says, “Do not attack Israel.”

Actually, I believe they picked the tub to hide the tunnel because they don’t use it.

fight it again 5-10 years

Yes, that's the history. And Israeli elctions tend to coincide with, usually after, flare ups with Gaza. Very likely the same with this time.

The giveaway was that there was a bathtub in Gaza. Anyone who has been to the Arab areas of the world will know that Arabs do not bathe. If they bathed, the stench would not follow them around like a cloud.
