Eleanor Holmes Norton, the non-voting congressional delegate for the District of Columbia, angrily sputtered during a congressional hearing Friday that the White House should not be held up to scrutiny, saying that there was no right to know what it was doing behind closed doors.

Oh really????

Who, then, pays your salary? Jane and John Q. Public!

Who are YOU to answer to? Jane and John Q. Public!

Who, by Constitutional RIGHT, is ‘government’, (which is includes YOU), is answerable to? Jane and John Q. Public!

Lastly, as a personal retort, K.M.A.B.!

We have a duty to know what’s going on in congress.

Personally I would start by educating Americans to the fact that Norton isn’t a legitimate voting representative and why.

“Under our black and brown Overlords we are getting a small taste of what life will be like for coming generations of Americans.”

You’re right; I knew what race the speaker was from the first sentence (before seeing the picture). Blacks will hardly be overlords, though; they have fallen behind even the newest Hispanic immigrants. They are useful idiots of the left, but will never be allowed off the urban welfare reservations. Too many white liberals make lucrative paychecks administering them in those controlled environments, as cops, firemen, teachers, prison guards, social workers, etc.

The poverty industry is HUGE.

It’s interesting that she is the non-voting delegate to Congress from the District of Columbia.

I’m not sure why they have a delegate from D.C. in Congress. D.C. does not have representatives in Congress because it is not a state. But, in her position, she gets to make speeches and make her political statements on the floor of Congress, as any other congressman can do.

“You don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government, my friend.”

When one branch of government spies on another, and has the capacity to blackmail another, there are no check’s and balances, and at that point ‘separation-of-powers’ doesn’t exist. If there is no transparency, there is no accountability, and the one ‘separation’ of powers that can never exist in a legitimate government is one in which the citizens themselves are separated from the knowledge of what their government is doing to them.

Our system of checks and balances has been fatally compromised by the Democrat devotion to The Party — over love of country.

With apologies to Douglas MacArthur, I can just hear any one of these leftists giving a retirement speech(if only they would!!) and to paraphrase the General's great speech given at West Point it would probably sound like this:

... but I want you to know that when I cross the river my last conscious thoughts will be-of The Party, and The Party, and The Party. I bid you farewell.

“Who, by Constitutional RIGHT, is ‘government’, (which is includes YOU), is answerable to? Jane and John Q. Public!”

Don’t blame them. It isn’t their fault. It is the fault of the MSM who has been given rights under the constitution to provide oversight and report to the people on governments actions.

The day they no longer became oversight, but the propaganda wing of the DNC was the day the people lost the country.

There is a solution. Millions of conservatives and allies around the world need to boycott every major advertiser. A couple of million letters condemning the media will have an impact. Look what happened with that backup company that Rush talked about. Look what happened when we came out for Chik Fila.

We are in a war against the government/media complex. They get exemptions as our god given rights are stolen from us with impunity. We have two years to turn this around.

There is only a “right to know” if a Republican holds the office. Than we need to know everything, including classified details of how we are prosecuting a war. The fact that the enemy will also get those details is just a side benefit. But when a Dim is in the White House; well we just have to trust him because he cares.

The magic thought continues as a divide, for no matter who is in power the media has been ordered to conceal the criminality of the “D” thugs while exposing the fecklessness of the “R” thugs. So regardless of which of the two major thuggeries is in power the “D” is always protected from exposure for as long as the media can shut it out of the reporting. When the collapse comes, media must be exterminated if the Republic is to arise ever again in freedom, because the fourth estate has become a major resource of the enemy within.

Very true.

The war however, extends well beyond the Government/Media complex into a culture that has been conditioned by virtually every institution they encounter. They, this culture is pressured to have blind faith in their Democrat/Liberal leaders without questions. Questioning their liberal masters is met with a tsunami of political correctness by their peers. For them, it basically boils down to a choice between getting along and being accepted or withdrawing entirely from the politics of the day.

What we are left with is three groups. One that is engaged in the politics of the left, one that is engaged on the right and one, that is willfully ignorant.

The MSM/DNC/Leftist feeds the ignorant.

The Right demands the ownership of fundamental truths of “right and wrong”.

The Left demands the “embrace of uncertainty”.

The Leftist leaders use peer pressure, guilt, group think and political correctness to make voting political zombies from the individual.

As a result of being conditioned in uncertainty, these zombies love authority and they need some authority to tell them what to think.

This is why they descend into personal attacks when their beliefs are challenged. They actually don’t have any beliefs other than what they are told to believe. They don’t own any truths, since doing so would make them judgmental.

The war is a cultural war between the “Confident and the Uncertain”.

It's hard to believe, but back when I was a young man and stationed in Washington DC at Bolling AFB and then the Pentagon, this lying, crooked idiot became the Representative for the denizens of Washington DC... And still is, even today!

I'm getting old now, not a youth, gray and white hair, creaky joints, wrinkles.

And she is still the representative. After all these years.

About Norton, from Wikipedia:

Norton was elected in 1990 as a Democratic delegate to the House of Representatives, defeating city council member Betty Ann Kane in the primary despite the last-minute revelation that Norton and her husband (both lawyers) had failed to file D.C. income tax returns between 1982 and 1989. As reported in the Washington Post, this issue was resolved when she and her husband paid over $80,000 in back taxes and fines. Her campaign manager was Donna Brazile. The delegate position was open because Del. Walter Fauntroy was running for mayor rather than seeking reelection. Norton received 39 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary election, and 59 percent of the vote in the general election. Norton took office on January 3, 1991, and has been reelected every two years since.

You are correct. The way that is corrected is by bombarding the ignorant with the truth. Day in and day out. The USSR fell for two reasons. Reagan bankrupted them and opened up more communications channels to the outside world that overwhelmed the Soviet propaganda machine.

We did that with Fox News, talk radio and the Internet. But it isn’t enough. That’s less than 10% of all media. We need to do more. And IMHO the best way to do this is to go after advertisers and hit them in the pocketbook.

That’s what Reagan did with the Soviets. It is tried, true and proven strategy. He left us with that gift. Time to unwrap it and use it.

So, the question I have is if the “ignorant”, “low information voters” are malleable enough to find a reason to care.

Our Government has been systematically removing personal responsibility for well over 60 years.

This is how the Islamist run their societies. Convince the masses that they are victims of some greater evil while presenting themselves as the solution. The Islamist makes this mandatory while we find yourselves with a willing populace.

We have seemingly intelligent people that believe and promote things that have absolutely no basis in reality. The History Channel II seems to be dedicated to “Ancient Aliens”, WTF is this ?

They feed ignorance and stupidity.

But it sells !!!
