The head of the Bundesbank appealed to Britain on Wednesday to stay in the European Union, saying membership of the bloc had given the country an economic lift and posed little threat to London.

In a speech to business people and bankers in central London, Jens Weidmann broke the central bank’s traditional silence on political questions, saying the European Union would benefit if Britain “continues to make its voice heard”.

“The EU is stronger today because of Britain’s contribution to it,” Weidmann said, adding that the country’s trade with EU neighbors had been boosted by more than half because of its membership of the bloc.

“As much as the UK gains from being part of the EU, so the EU gains from having the UK as a member,” he said. …

Sure . . . Britain’s voice really mattered when it came to stopping a criminal like Jean-Claude Juncker from being the head of the EU’s Politburo.

The EU Charter forces Britain to allow every piece of 9th Century knuckledragging savagery that washes up on their shores to remain there for life, lest the piece of excrement be denied its “human rights”.If France and Germany want to adopt such a policy that’s cool but to force the country with the longest serving popularly elected legislature on earth to do so is beyond comprehension.

I hope Great Britain does get out of the EU while it still can. The bureaucratic noose of Brussels’ rising dictatorship is tightening and will soon choke off what sovereignty remains in its member states. With its growing legislative, legal and administrative power and its expanding military alliances, the EU superstate will pose a far greater menace than Vladimir Putin’s Russia. It is in Europe’s DNA to yearn for a superman, and the non-democratic European Union is poised to give it to them.

Coming soon to a “North American Union” near you!

That’ll never happen.

The European and Eurasian Unions are faits accompli, though.

“That’ll never happen.”

Have you been watching the news lately? It’s happening right now.

No, because no over-arching central government will arise from it.

Never mind the other “Unions” not arising from chaos, but by deceit.

There’s plenty of deceit on this side of the Atlantic.

“No, because no over-arching central government will arise from it.”

I would love to be wrong on this one, but I disagree.

The collapse of the border is going to bring in millions of Left-leaning government dependent voters. These people are not going to grow our economy and add to our prosperity. The United Nations is already labeling these invaders “refugees” and seizing control of our borders.

Do you think the UN is interested in American sovereignty? Do you think our president is?

No, it will bring collapse. Where would a so-called “North American Union” be governed from, Mexico City? The millions of MS-13 members don’t care much about suffrage, I think.

The UN is not interested in any country’s sovereignty, frankly. They already think of themselves as a one-world government.

“No, it will bring collapse. “

Of course it will bring collapse. Cloward-Piven, “you have to break a lot of eggs to make an omlette” etc.

I don’t know where a North American Union would be governed from. Ask David Petraeus.

The idea is that by having refugees flooding countries, you will have millions that will not be loyal to the host country.

Cloward and Piven were breaking the chickens to make omelets rather than eggs.

It’s going towards anarchy rather than socialism.
