Pentagon Plan Would Help Ukraine Target Rebel Missiles
NYT ^ | 26 Jul 14 | DAVID E. SANGER and ERIC SCHMITT

The Pentagon and American intelligence agencies are developing plans that would enable the Obama administration to provide specific locations of surface-to-air missiles controlled by Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine so the Ukrainian government could target them for destruction, American officials said.

But the proposal has not yet been debated in the White House, a senior administration official said. It is unclear whether President Obama, who has already approved limited intelligence sharing with Ukraine, will agree to give more precise information about potential military targets, a step that would involve the United States more deeply in the conflict.

Why would they provide this information to the government of Ukraine if Putin isn't sending in his own weapons and agents? Who were the little green men in Crimea?

How is this in the public realm if true?
Public discussion of committing an act of war?
Doesn’t this fall under the definition of treason?

Ukraine is a free and independent government despite Putin’s best efforts to destroy it. Therefore, it can negotiate with the US to acquire support to put down the Putin proxies.

The part that made me chuckle was when thy mentioned “Mr Obama’s emerging National Security Doctrine”.

He sure doesn’t worry about that when he imports little chilruns and MS13 characters from south of the border.

But, it is the NYT. To be expected.

Yes, that’s correct. Between Obama and Putin we’ll be lucky to have a decent world, but helping either one of them is not a position a former Reaganite would agree to, I think.

Ukraine is a free and independent government

That's all these two provinces want is their freedom and the Kiev regime is doing everything they can't to stop them.

How many other borders are you willing to allow Putin to undermine? Are you in favor of reestablishing the former Soviet Empire?

Best case, the Pentagon is fed up with the liars in Kiev denying the Separatists have such heavy weapons and advanced systems along with a good many trained Ukraine troops who have defected to the Separatist side.

So, rather than play along with the propaganda, the Pentagon is saying that they'll help Kiev target the systems Kiev swears the Separatists don't have and can't operate if they do have them.

My guess is Kiev will insist US bombing is the only solution.

Worst case, . . .

You don’t know what you’re talking about and you don’t know how the US Military works.

You really don’t understand. I am not for either. I am for the truth and so I am very skeptical to believe propaganda from either side.

You are helping Obama even though you may not want to be. Tell me, when has Obama ever tried to help anyone except those who vote for him or are useful to his agenda?

The fight is for freedom here in this country. If we can’t keep ours, you know Ukraine isn’t going to have any.

——But the proposal has not yet been debated in the White House-——

I wonder what president Jarrett would say...

Obama certainty doesn’t want to poke the bear.. (putin) since his dossier on Obama must be quite the read...

Which means the Ukrainians will be left to twist in the wind...

Too bad they aren’t muzzies...obama would bent over backwards to help them...

I don’t believe Obama is helping Ukraine. I believe he’s harming them.

The reason I posted it was because it shows that the US military and our intelligence all agree that the evidence of Putin’s support is real. I have no more belief that Obama will help Ukraine than I believe he’ll fix the economy, health care, or the border problems.

If Nobama is supplying weapons and funding, you can be sure it’s to the wrong side.
