On a sweltering Saturday in July, approximately ten thousand protesters gathered on the steps of the Massachusetts state legislature and beyond in order to send a message to Gov. Deval Patrick and President Barack Obama: No more illegal immigrants.
“The rally was an obvious sign that even here in ultra-liberal Massachusetts, there is a major political rebellion brewing against the corrupt, arrogant and dangerously disconnected political elites of our country,” said rally organizer Jeff Kuhner in an interview with Worldtribune.com. Mr. Kuhner is the host of WRKO’s morning radio talk show, The Kuhner Report. He is known as “Boston’s Bulldozer” for his brazen defiance of the state’s liberal policies and its politically correct culture.
“Massachusetts has become ground zero in Middle America’s effort to stop the massive invasion of illegal immigration that threatens to bankrupt and destroy America,” he said. “The original revolt against British tyranny began here in Boston. I honestly believe that the revolt against Obama’s tyranny is beginning here.”

The rally was barely over before a controversy erupted in the blogosphere: How many activists were in attendance? A report by CBS’s Bree Sison states that “about a thousand” were present. Instead, The Blaze featured pictures of the event disproving that estimate and a headline highlighting the impressive size of the rally: “Boston ‘Teeming with Protesters’ in Giant Rally Against Housing Illegal Immigrants in the State.”
“The discrepancy in the numbers regarding how many showed up in the rally is a stark example of how the liberal media is trying to marginalize and suppress the extent of the opposition to Gov. Patrick’s plan.

Speaker “Blank Check” Boehner keeps “Free for All” Obama in power by not controlling spending or Impeaching Obama.
“Gridlock” Reid shuts down the DEMOCRAT BROTHERHOOD GOVERNMENT, (DBG), anytime that Boehner refuses to write Obama a Blank Check.
“Free for All” Obama is more than happy to play hooky from his day job and fly around on the taxpayer’s dime to raise Campaign money for “Gridlock” Reid’s Senate Candidates, and the DBG.
“Blank Check” Boehner is the key man to allow “Free for All” Obama to continue to fundamentally transform America, and Obama knows it.
Force Boehner to resign, and Obama will be at the mercy of New Speaker Jim Jordan or Trey Gowdy.
Keep Boehner as Speaker and there is very little reason to expect Mid-Term Voters to find an effective difference between Republicans and Democrats.
Imagine what the reported attendance would have been if this was a rally for a liberal cause.
My take on this is the “not in my backyard” rally. Do as I say, not as I do is a liberal’s main mantra. Like the first lady for instance...tells schools to give kids broccoli, then proceeds to suck down butter-dripped lobster tails. This rally is for the wrong reason, they’re not protesting the illegality and blatant disregard for the constitution, these liberals simply don’t want it in their backyard.
Someone named Omnibus on the RadioDiscussions Boston board posted the following—unaware that Jeff is not Jewish. I pointed out Jeff is of Croat-Canadian heritage and according to Wikipedia is a “pious Christian/United Church of Christ”.

Not true. Jeff Kuhner’s listeners (including myself) are not the liberals in the state, but the conservatives who are continually shafted by not only the democrats here, but the go-along republicans. Those who were at the rally were the same people who in 2010, came out of the woodwork in droves to get Scott Brown elected.
There are conservatives in Massachusetts, and on Saturday, thousands of us gathered to protest the governor’s schemes.

That’s a very white crowd. And I expect if all the ill.. er undocumented were being settled in Texas, New Mexico, and AZ they wouldn’t be protesting.
What a joke. Jeff is an ardent Catholic. We said the Our Father on the steps of the State House on Saturday.
Will the people rise up? Will the GOP promise to repeal the order if they regain the WH? Will they impeach Obama for it? I suspect the GOPe will be AWOL since they want to do the same thing.
Yup. As soon as I saw the post by Omnibus, I pointed it out to him. Jeff does have a way of pronouncing words where it sounds like a k is goingk to be added to what he is sayingk... and apparently Omnibus thought Jeff was Jewish.
Years ago WRKO had the late Jerry Williams who was seen as liberal but later said he was a populist and a muckraker. He opposed Gov Dukakis’ incl his run for President. Jerry also had a rally—against building a prison in a town that didn’t want it—and the media said a lot fewer people were there than actually were. (Wiki said United Church of Christ, but let’s just say whatever he is, he’s a Christian.)
Nothing wrong with that. Once people understand the costs associated with immigration, legal and illegal, they will sing a different tune. I don't care how they come to that realization, but the sooner the better. Every state is a border state now.

Those at the rally were not NIMBYRATS, they were conservatives that were striking a blow against a governor who is helping Obama in his insidious plans.
