CNN poll: Hillary doing better with white voters than any Democrat since Jimmy Carter

Posted on 07/28/2014 3:53:07 PM PDT by Laissez-faire capitalist

...One of the mysteries of Election 2016 is whether the Democratic nominee can keep the "Obama coalition" of liberals, young adults, and minorities together. After all, its a fact of political life that the Republican nominee will crush the Democrat among white voters.

Or is it?

I imagine that Hillary might not get as high a percentage of blacks as Obama did, nor will she probably have as high a turnout rate among blacks as Obama did, but I imagine that she will still get around 93-94% at a bare minimum.

Among other minorities, she will probably fare as well as Obama did in 2008 and 2012. The question is whether or not she can keep the coalition of young voters and liberals together - those two voting blocks that are still adamant against the banker bailouts, and still largely distrustful about the NSA. Clapper anyone?

Problem is, is that many Republicans are still fuming over the banker bailouts and don't trust the NSA, either. Again, Clapper anyone?.

This is where a conservative-leaning Libertarian might fare well... namely Rand Paul.

She crushes Romney in a head-to-head match-up, and would pull in more white voters than Obama, Kerry and Al Gore did.

Romney won the white vote 59%-39%. He won every age group and gender. If Hilliary cuts into that number, the GOP is finished. She will win in a landslide. Hillary is more popular among Hispanics than Obama.

Polls have shown (and still do) that Hispanics hate it when illegal aliens cross the border with impunity - and yet at election time Hispanics still vote overwhelmingly (be it 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012) for Democratic presidential candidates.

Who knows why...

Hillary is not that popular, if she were she would be President now. She is going to get a challenge from Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren and she still has to explain what she has done for the last 14 years - and she is getting long in the tooth. I’m so GD tired of the surrender monkeys here.

If Hillary pulls the #’s down from Romney’s 59-39% to 54%-44% the GOP is finished.

It would be a drop from a 20% gap to a 10% gap.

The poll is fiction, of course.

That said, Mrs. Rodham-Clinton's real poll numbers are about to take the down escalator.

One would think that Benghazi-gate and a host of other provable, and truly ugly lies would to the trick; but there is something better that will attract the interest of the lower-level-of-info voters.

Two words...

Energizer Bunny.

Oh, please. Hillary’s slaughter of Americans at Benghazi will probably increase her support among liberals, but will repulse everyone else.

Polls aren’t accurate anymore, given the prevalence of Democrat voter fraud and the intimidation of conservatives.

If it is either he or Hillary, then we must go with Rand Paul.

Obama for 8 years followed by Hillary for 4-8 years would be far more disastrous that Rand Paul being elected.

Rand Paul is far more fiscally conservative than she (by a mile), and is more socially conservative than she (maybe not as much as Bush vs. Hillary would be) but still, he is NOT pro-choice.

So in him would be found two legs of the three-legged stool, and a position that isn't as interventionist as Bush, but not an isolationist either (despite what the LMSM says about him, since they fear him). Rand Paul is neither isolationist nor interventionist. He tends to be right down the middle.

Would we throw it all away if it came down to that one last leg of conservatism and let her walk in the WH?

Jeb Bush? No way. Romney? No way. Christie? No way. They are all RINOS.

Sandy Berger should be rotting in jail Instead he is making millions as a 'K' Street hustler. But he isn't.

In 2007 there was an ongoing investigation into the Clinton's handling of Al Qeada threats and different links to them through Tax Exempt Fundraising efforts in the US. Questions came up about Senator Hillary Clinton's involvement in certain "negotiations" and deal making. While under subpoena from the National Archives key documents were stolen and shredded by former National Security Adviser, Sandy Berger.

He escaped doing hard time and was given probation which included prohibiting his serving in a governmental capacity. YET- when Hillary was heating it up in the primaries against Obama, she put her friend, the traitor, Sandy Berger on her staff as National Security Adviser. Had she gotten the nomination, he would have been privileged to all daily security briefings and classified documents circulated to the Bush security council.

This is how the revolving door of corruption works and the people supporting Hillary Clinton approve fully.

I am tired of the Pollyannas who fail to recognize the sea change in electoral politics, primarily due to changing demographics. Hillary doesn't have to be "popular." She is already way ahead of any potential Rep candidate. She will have the money and organization to win.

What states will Hillary or any other Dem will lose that Obama won in 2012? The Dems get a huge head start with the number of electoral votes they have locked up before the race even begins.
