Keyla Calix, a 25-year-old Honduran living in downtown Miami, didn’t think her friend’s gift of a Quran would lead her to reject her Catholic upbringing.
But two years later, after a serious evaluation of Islam sparked by the holy book, she will head to a mosque Monday morning for Eid al-Fitr, a celebration that marks the end of Ramadan.
“My family thought that Islam was just for Arabs,” Calix said, “but Islam is for everyone, not just for Arabs or Pakistani.”
Miami’s Islamic community will celebrate the end of Islam’s holy month alongside a series of new beginnings, like Calix’s. She is part of a growing segment of Miami’s population converting to Islam, according to Miami’s Islamic leaders.

Islam seems very attractive, on the surface, to those who are at the lower edge of the intelligence scale and/or who feel envy at the success and perceived power of others. The Koran is filled with instances of “permission” to its believers to subjugate (and by implication, punish) the very people those believers envied. It’s only after they’ve been pulled in by the empty promises do they discover the chains they’re required to wear, and by then it’s too late. And thus the ranks continue to swell. It’s the Barnum principle in action.

It’s really not surprising...but the numbers should give many a wake up call of CREEPING ISLAM Islam across our nation....This is just one community...

Apparently Ms Calix doesn’t keep up with news very much. Let her spend a week in Saudi Arabia or Iran, then she can tell us how wonderful is-lam is.
