U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will be among a bipartisan group of senators holding a press conference to announce the introduction of legislation to curb sexual assaults on college and university campuses.
Rubio will be joined by Senators Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Dean Heller (R-NV), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), among others. Victims and advocates will join the lawmakers for Wednesday’s introduction.

but college and university are just Sex, drugs and Alcohol
There’s not a person around who wouldn’t support curbing sexual assaults on campus but how can this be legislated? What am I missing?
What... its gonna become more illegal to slug a woman than it already is? Stiffer penalties? Longer prison sentences? Don’t we already have a disproportionate numbers in prison?
Basically those accused of “sexual assault” which includes a man who had a few drinks having sex with a woman who had a few drinks then the woman regretting it and crying rape being denied basic due process including no legal representation or cross examination at campus hearings.

Despite having had a cup of coffee this morning, my first read through was “barbarian” legislation ..... oh my.
It’s funny - I heard Rubio’s party wants my vote.
"Ya mean they want to make sexual assault ILLEGAL?!!"
Liberal Austin recently passed proudly a resolution proclaiming themselves a “Freedom From Domestic Violence” city, the first one in Texas to do so.
Didn’t mean jack squat in terms of real life but it made the politicians all feel good about themselves and could tell their low information voters how they took a stand against domestic violence.
Unless it’s homosexuals doing the assaulting, then they’re okay with that. If you resist, you’ll be charged with a hate crime.
And people wonder why I refused to send my boys to the liberal cesspools known as universities.
Don’t have sex with people you don’t know just because you both happen to be drunk. That’s the advice my pappy gave me.
There is NO wave of campus sexual assaults; just google your local university and “sexual assaults”. The only thing that will turn up is articles about “Progressives” yammering about the issue in general terms. This is simply a “Big Lie” campaign by the “Progressives”: repeat it enough times and people will think there is something to it.
It’s reprehensible that Rubio is assisting in Federalizing such a local issue. Tells you volumes about this lying, fake conservative.
Rubio has become a mugwump - trying to sit with his mug on one side of the fence and his wump on the other, and like Humpty Dumpty he’ll have a great fall.
Rubio must have a reputation in the ‘Rat caucus as an easy mark. I wonder if he sends money when he gets emails from Nigerians in trouble.
