I’ve always had trouble staying awake through Deliverance.

On another note for other freepers reading my little post, I just read the hilarious comments following the You Tube video: clowns keep calling the New Yorker Voigt a “redneck” - apparently because they can’t tell the difference between a movie role and an actor.
Conrack is my favorite of his roles - he’s so young in that movie and it’s so very moving. Also, it has a hilarious performance by the great Hume Cronyn as his racist boss.
That’s a great movie. I just watched it on Netflix.
I usually don’t give a lot of credence to the words of Hollywood types who speak out on political issues but I think it means a lot more when one does so against conventional thinking of his peers. he doesn’t give a damn what they think, he is standing up for what is right and I applaud him for it.

Jon Voigt already has an Academy Award. He does not have to kiss Hollywood ass.

Yes, I do believe Jon Voigt was a liberal in his youth. That’s why I was surprised at the turn around - which has gone on for many years now. People change; I was once a lib.
Same thing happen to James Wood, I think he changed after reporting the pre 911 dry run on board the plane he was on.
That’s right. People change - and sometimes even for the better! Just checked Jon’s Wikipedia entry which had lots of fascinating tidbits about his very action-packed life, lol.
