Complete title: EXCLUSIVE: Report reveals disturbing trend of brazen attacks against border security by gangs, drug and human traffickers
EXCLUSIVE: A game warden hit in the head with a rock while trying to seize a raft. Police officers wounded in an hours-long standoff with a gang member wanted for murder. Criminals spewing obscenities and death threats at local cops before asking for and receiving medical treatment.
And that was just last week.
A weekly report distributed by a Texas state agency to senior law enforcement officials paints a grim picture of the Mexican border, where authorities regularly confront illegal immigrant gang members and draw automatic gunfire from across the Rio Grande, and where local, state and federal authorities fight a never-ending battle against drug smugglers.
The most recent Border Operations Sector Assessment report compiled by the Texas Department of Public Safetys Border Security Operations Center, dated July 25 and obtained by FoxNews.com, details local and federal authorities encountering smugglers carrying millions of dollars worth of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine, some of which was found in vehicles filled with biblical passages and religious items; federal agents being assaulted and shot at; gang members brazenly approaching people in their homes; and ranch workers witnessing men crossing into the U.S. wearing camouflage and carrying long guns and automatic weapons.
"In recent weeks the traffic appears to have slowed slightly, yet assaults on law enforcement have increased. This is a disturbing trend that needs to be addressed, Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Union, Rio Grande Valley Sector, told FoxNews.com.

Send all those dog shooting SWAT teams to the border now.
Everyone seems more concerned about Ukraine’s border than ours.
$4 mil a mile? Man that must be union labor.
This is an armed invasion. The states facing this threat have the right to declare war, why won’t they? What do they have to lose?
You’re absolutely right. We should be responding to these attacks on our border with overwhelming deadly force.
Hamas tactics. We cannot have peace unless we can denazify the law breakers and illegal crossings.
The more we make it ok, the more kids are going to get hurt in this now brewing conflict.
Up here our border invaders come to spend money.
That’s $800 a foot for very high quality fencing, inside road grading, etc.
Eric Holder was planning for this invasion far in advance, secretly supplying the Mexican gangs with AK47’s, and got away with it. Imagine the carnage if Fast & Furious hadn’t been exposed.
Mexico is a criminal state, run by gangs. We can’t open our border without getting a dose of that culture. That’s what multiculturalism is all about.
We need to stop anything from crossing that border. Nothing. I would dispatch cobra helicopters with 50 caliber to waste into gooo any maggot illegal alien that fired on a Government enforcement agents (state, local or federal). It would swift and final.
Obastard’s solution will be to withdraw all BP agents from the border.
Open up the bidding per mile to We the People, and I’d bet you’d knock that tally WAY down...I’d suspect some would even happily do it for FREE
Absolutely, and worth repeating.
You would think a guy could run for and win the Oval Office just by announcing that he was going to build that fence like they have in Sandiago
Drug gangs invading in numbers from the south should be every American's big worry (among several big worries, that is).
Back in 2008 I voted for the guy who got that fence in San Diego built but was told that a congressman can’t win so we got McCain to win instead........oh wait.
yes indeed. Perhaps we can move the Ukraine’s border right over here with us and align it with the US/Mexican so more attention can be given.
Where in the Constitution does it say State can declare war? I don’t think that’s possible.

Since I don’t use any illegal drugs, I am not particularly concerned about worried about the peddlers of such supplies.
Long Past Time to Militarize the Border. The brown heroin coming into cities all over the country is reason enough alone.
