ouse GOP leadership is beginning to crack on its position that it would not include any language intended to prohibit the President from expanding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive amnesty in a border bill package. House GOP leadership is beginning to crack on its position that it would not include any language intended to prohibit the President from expanding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive amnesty in a border bill package.
Unable to find enough Republicans to pass the bill without the help of Democrats, who are lining up against the border bill, GOP leaders are considering allowing a separate vote on language to prevent a DACA expansion, a GOP leadership aide confirmed. The catch is that the second vote would take place only if the underlying bill first passed. It's still unclear whether the two measures would then be combined into a single bill or sent individually to the Senate, where they are expected to die.

Boehner is going to crack? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
Boner is on crack!
His crying routine is just too creepy for me. RINO’s give me the creeps.
Why don’t we just annex all of Latin America down past Panama and put them all on welfare and get this over with?
I can’t believe Boehner would let a two bit, Chicago street punk make his knees buckle. We need to start electing some real Americans again. Someone who isn’t afraid to stand up against those who are hell bent on destroying America. That’s what this commie lib bill will do.
Boehner is a VERY Stupid crybaby.
BTW, a stupid person is a person that is incapable of learning.
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
This is good. Republicans write a POS bill, rats vote against it. Several republicans vote against it and the bill dies and never gets to the senate.
The media will have to say its a bi partisan killing of the bill.
John Boehner is very weak man, but Lynn Westmoreland is still his bitch.
There must be a lot of natural resources down there ripe for harvesting by entrenpaners. Americans could go down there to the usually pretty good weather and clean the place out.as long as the rats stayed here to bleed the last drop dry.
I hope he doesn’t cry............................again.
Where do I get in line to b**** slap this wuss?
If they are going to die in the senate anyways, why crack?
I don’t like the idea of borrowing money from China to support the illegals. I don’t like giving to the legals that can work.
This time, it's not "the two-bit Chicago street punk". What the Republican caucus is telling Boehner is that they want a bill that addresses DACA (the "Dreamer" executive order) and disallows any further implementation in the future. That's Ted Cruz's bill...and Rep. Marsha Blackburn has offered a version of it in the House.
Slowly, but surely, Ted Cruz is pre-empting the GOP leadership in the Congress.
Pre-empt the House leadership?
There is no leadership in the House. And that has been the problem.
Bonehead works for the Amnesty pimps.
When the issue is immigration, I find no comfort in Ted Cruz being in charge.
In 2000, Cruz helped write GWBush’s immigration policy, which evolved to become the Bush/McCain Amnesty in 2006.
In 2012, Cruz publicly supported more work visas for Texas farmers and ranchers.
In 2013, Cruz wrote an amendment for the Gang of Eight immigration bill that increased H1B work visas by FIVE times.
Finally, Ted Cruz has NEVER criticized our current immigration policy which allows 1.1 million new Green Cards each year, and 750,000 new citizens each year.
place your bets. which day will he crack?
we have nobody there representing us. effing kabuki putz rinos.
Boehner is weak.
What objection do you have to the Congress drawing a line against any further DACA-like executive actions by the President?
> its position that it would not include any language intended to prohibit the President from expanding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive amnesty in a border bill package.
Unless I’m misunderstanding the 3 negatives in that sentence (not, prohibit, deferred), this would increase security, not expand amnesty. The problem is the voting gimmick. The amnesty bill must pass first and then they’ll vote separately on the more secure language. No thanks.
What was Cruz’s response to the first DREAM Act executive deferral?
None, that I can recall.
What was his response to the second deferral, the one that allowed illegals to stay if they provide essential “support” (includes babysitting) to a family or household.
None, that I can recall.
The man shows zero sense of urgency on these issues, unless there is a public clamor, which is what Cruz is responding to today.
And, on the issue of work visas and Green Cards, he is completely indifferent to the impact that has on wages and employment for native born Americans.
And, on the issue of 750,000 new citizens each year, he is completely indifferent to the fact that 80% of them vote Democrat.
Was never a question of if; just a question of when.
We the People deserve better than Boner!
“Why dont we just annex all of Latin America down past Panama and put them all on welfare and get this over with?”....
Might turn out to be a good deal for all of us. Then there is Mexico to deal with (again).
“RINOs give me the creeps...”
RINO-Es give me diarrhea.
Well, see, youve hit on the problem. Mr B and his many buddies are an artifact of the voters. They didnt storm their way into elected office. They were put there by us. So, who’s the problem? I say its us, the electorate.
