Morning Joe Panel: Lerner Emails Make it ‘Hard to Argue’ Her Innocence
Washington Free Beacon ^ | July 31, 2014 | Staff

... “If the question is was there political, ideological bias inside the IRS, it’s hard to argue ‘no’ after you read that,” said Willie Geist.

“And malice,” added MSNBC contributor Nicolle Wallace. “She equates Republicans as inferior to terrorists. I think motive is there, I think state of mind is there–again, if this were a legal proceeding, they’ve got their gal.”

She is the prime example of why no one is going to find his excellency’s fingerprints on anything involving these felons. His group ensures they place in leadership positions individuals they know will operate between the lines of their beliefs. Any wonder a person goes from being an antagonist toward conservatives at the FEC to a job at the IRS, usually filled within the IRS? When the nitwit’s like RINOs get in, they reach across the aisle and fill some jobs with less than party line people. That jerk USAttorney in western Texas who pursued the cases against those border patrol agents comes to mind. Meanwhile she is out drawing a check while should be in drawing a check for making license plates which is not going to happen.

No, she does not.

A good example is Ford pardoning Nixon for ANY crimes he MAY HAVE committed!

Obama could pardon her tomorrow if he wanted to.

I predict he will pardon her AND Holder before he leaves office.

If Zippo pardons her, who would pardon Zippo?

As it stands now, Zippo’s the beneficiary of the criminal conspiracy.

Pardoning her confirms the conspiracy.

She doesn’t sound any different than Eric Holder to me. Both have voiced contempt for conservatives.
Who do you think Obama was talking about when he voiced contempt and said” they get bitter, they cling to their guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti immigrant sentiment or anti trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations “
This contempt for the people who make things work is the DNA of the democrat party. How about Elizabeth Warren and her you didn’t build that BS. It’s all contempt for us.

I can hear it now, though -

it doesn’t matter how much bias or malice you can prove,
you can’t prove she actually acted on it.

She can’t be pardoned if not first convicted. However, if she can drag it out until the people lose interest, she will have a clean record when they chase the next “squirrel.”

From what I read, her emails merely reflect the thinking of every last Democrat there is, from Obama down to the LIV. Just nice to see someone in a high govt office putting it in writing.

Yeah, the shriveled up old arrogant hag should be in jail, but so should the guy who told her to commit the crimes that she committed.

These left-wing bureaucrats are the Permanent State. No matter who you vote into the White House or send to Capitol Hill, these government employee termites will keep chewing away.

You’re right, cept we know the difference between what she did and what the bamster wanted is very little. unprovable, largely due to our partisan media, and the criminal nature of this administration and the AG.

More than likely he will insert her under the bus.....that’s what democrats do to friends who become liabilities. A pardon would ignite the conservative base and turn a lot of independents off!!! The dummies of course would love it!!!

Ford pardoned Nixon and he wasn't convicted.

Looks like it took them three years to process the application.

I don’t know the specific IRS rules, but for example when you are granted a patent, the term starts with the filing date, not the grant date. Perhaps the same principle applies here.

I wish I could listen to Wallace but her terrible, media-adverse, screeching speaking voice discourages me from hearing anything she has to say. Worst speaking voice on tv.

As my Dad once described a pastor of ours, "His voice is ideal for sign language."

That’s funny!

I hate terrible speaking voices and I think for the money they pay that Wallace chick, they should force her into voice lessons or onto the dole. She stinks in other ways, too.

That is true with Ford and Nixon but the USDOJ posts something in conflict with that pardon.

2. Federal convictions only
Under the Constitution, only federal criminal convictions, such as those adjudicated in the United States District Courts, may be pardoned by the President. In addition, the President's pardon power extends to convictions adjudicated in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and military court-martial proceedings. However, the President cannot pardon a state criminal offense. Accordingly, if you are seeking clemency for a state criminal conviction, you should not complete and submit this petition. Instead, you should contact the Governor or other appropriate authorities of the state where you reside or where the conviction occurred (such as the state board of pardons and paroles) to determine whether any relief is available to you under state law. If you have a federal conviction, information about the conviction may be obtained from the clerk of the federal court where you were convicted.

USDOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney, Pardon Information and Instructions

However, I did a little more research and found in the Article 2 Section 2 of the constitution a broader pardon authority.

Article 2 Section 2
The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

Not sure about whether or not you have to be convicted of something in order to be pardoned.

Seems like Pres. GHW Bush pardoned Caspar Weinberger before he was convicted of anything.

He may have been indicted for something (I forget what), but I don't think it even went to trial before Bush pardoned him.

Soetoro would pardon Lerner on his way out the door (if he leaves).
